|Once again a very atmospheric episode. Naruto has a new director as of the last episode and it definitely shows. It's stuff we know about, but shown in a different light. Nice moment between Sasuke and Itachi. Itachi getting to teach him using kunai and getting to sleep outside. And Sakura having some development as well as seeing the start of the rivalry with Ino. Another good not great episode. As it was last week, interesting, but nothing new. The visuals and directing are what stand out the most. As well as seeing some nice moments with the characters. 7/10|

I thought the Sasuke part of the episode was nice. It did a good job showing us how close he and Itachi were before the whole Uchiha Clan Massacre. The kunai throwing training was pretty cool. For some reason I like seeing the Uchiha Clan show off their skill in that area. The two brothers camping outside was a cute little scene. On that note, wow, who knew that Itachi was such a great cook?
Seeing Sakura and Ino when they were young and how they became friends and later rivals made me think back to the Chuunin Exam. That's when we first saw this material. I liked seeing inner Sakura again. We don't get to see her much anymore. An appearance by Sakura's parents was also appreciated. We don't see them much either.
The scene with Sasuke and Sakura at the end of the episode reminded me of how he (Sasuke) has always been this way when it comes to girls liking him. Funny how Naruto was able to make an appearance even though the episode wasn't about him. I'm guessing this is when he first started to like Sakura.
Overall this was a solid episode. I see the art style and focus on scenery was the same as the last episode. I'm assuming the whole arc will be like this. I don't have any issues with that. In my opinion the visuals and scenery are a major plus for this arc.
Episode gets an 8.
