Use this topic to give feedback and suggestions on the world map and country guide available here: http://www.leafninja.com/country.php Feel free to ask me any questions about information on the map. I've made some updates to it in the last few days, so I figured it might as well have its own topic. |

Quick FAQ: Question: What did you place the villages in those locations? Answer: The villages are placed in the spot where the most recent version of an official map had it located. Question: Why is the Valley of the End in that spot? I don't think it's been placed anywhere officially. Answer: You're correct, it hasn't. But it is a fairly easy assumption that if the Sound Four were going directly from Konoha to Sound, it shouldn't be too far off a straight line on the border between the two. Question: You have the Tea Country and those other two big islands... aren't they kind of big? Answer: Yes, yes they are. I overlaid the map in the anime filler arc that featured the country. When overlaid with an existing map to line up the coastal lines, it turns out those areas are reallly, really big. Question: What sources have you used to make this map? Answer: The anime, manga, official manga guidebooks, official fan books and the official website. The official manga guidebooks are the most recent of the official maps. Question: Why is the River Country in that spot? I don't think it has been shown on a map yet. Answer: Correct, manga chapter 255 states the country lies between Fire and Wind, and it is the only country on the map in this area not already identified. Question: Where is the Snow Country? Why don't I see it on the map? Answer: It annoys the hell out of me that it isn't on the map either. No official publication has identified its location. Once we know where it is, we will update the map. The Snow Country is suppose to be located on an island to the north of the Fire Country. In Movie One Team 7 travels by boat to the island. It is unknown if it is one of the islands northeast of the Wave Country or some other island off the present map. Question: What is with the Moon and )) symbols? Are they really ninja villages? Answer: The Moon symbol can be seen on a Chuunin Exam test taker, the )) can be seen on the headbands of two ninja watching the third test of the Chuunin Exam. Both are probably just a throwaway bit by Kishimoto or his assistants. Until they are mentioned again in the series, they should be considered semi-official. Question: You have Hidden Sound village as being located in the Rice Field Country? Shouldn't that be the Sound Country? Answer: As per anime episode 136, it was revealed Hidden Sound is actually located in the Rice Field Country. Recently in the manga, Yakushi Kabuto has refered to the country as the Sound Country. Contradiction?... maybe. If one wants to make it work, consider that Kabuto thinks the country is now Orochimaru's, and that he can damn well name it what he wants. Question: Swamp, Stone, Bird, Sea, Bear, Fang, Claw, Vegetable, etc? Where the hell did these come from? Answer: The Sixth, Seventh and Eighth seasons of Naruto featured a high amount of filler to allow the manga to get further ahead of the anime. As such Naruto and the Genin went on many missions throughout the world. These happened to include many countries never mentioned before. So far only the Bird and Sea Countries have been identified on the map. Question: You have emblems next to the country names, are those the canon emblems for the countries? Answer: For the Shinobi nations, yes this identifies their shinobi village. The lower country emblems are just to help identify the countries by more than color. They have no official canon bearing. You understand? NO OFFICIAL BEARING. Stop going to other sites saying we state those are the emblems, they ARE NOT. It's just for page formatting reasons and to help you differentiate them. Question: You seem to treat all these stupid filler countries as if they were canon... why? Answer: Simply for completion sake. Kishimoto is not that involved with the anime and it generally does not influence him. However, it has happened before, see Uchiha Uruchi and Teyaki. For that reason I treat all official world and map information as co-existing within the same continuity. Should Kishimoto later state something otherwise which contradicts information the anime stated, then the manga version will take precedence and the old information will be noted as being incorrect or outdated. |

Thanks. :) Of all the stuff I've put on the site, the map is the thing I'm most proud of. It was the original thing which drove me to create the site honestly. (Which was almost exactly a year ago today) To be able to share that piece of work with the other fans online. Is probably why I like it to be as up to date as possible. |

You think that after you finish the 54 jutsus and god knows what else, do you think you'll add desciptions to the countries, likke the one line one you had when you added village gruops to the old forums (except we know bout Stone now) |

Hmm... so where would Rice Country in the new filler be? There doesn't seem to be any empty land between Fire and Sound countries. Perhaps it's just a tiny Rice village sitting on the border belonging to either country.. or it's one of the empty masses of land next to Sound and Naruto and his gang ended up going off track. |

Could be between Waterfall and Sound, or to the right of Sound. |

There is a problem with that. Putting the discriptions of the villages in the location guide would limit the number of villages you can describe. We know the Stone is agressive and that Cloud is trick, but have seen neither village so they won't be in the location guide. |

I would probably put up some form of information on the villages, even if they've never been explicitly seen. |

I don't know if you have this up already since the site is down but, in ep 137 we can see the Hitai-ate of the Rice Field Country ninjas: Posted Image Also there's some mention of Kingin Country, which was in war with Rice Country a while back, I think you should mention that too. . . |

Thanks, yeah the forehead protector is rather small to figure out what that exactly is. The mention of Kingin no Kuni, which if heard correctly is "Gold and Silver" Country, is nice. Probably borders Rice Field on one side. |

Thanks, yeah I guess that looks about right, what that is suppose to be though is anyone's guess. Maybe the actual rice field steps... In any case, the symbol has since been replaced I would think with Orochimaru's note symbol so I'm not sure I would use it anywhere as of yet. |

Hey, my internet's down (this isn't my computer) and I have to rant... Silver and Gold...they manged to top rice feild as the stupidest country name! But they've hit the bottum now..right...right?? ANyway, you could use the headband symbol with the bios of the anti-Orochimaru group. Also, during the war seen, do you see the uniforms of those countries..? |

okay, you didn't do that. But maybe you could have a destroyed village section. Also, where did you get the Gold and Sliver symbol, I didn't see it in the picture. |

The gold and silver symbol is just something I made up. I wanted the things to look like rock and ore, to let people know that the kingin "gold and silver" are refering to monetary pieces, rather than the colors. |

What about the location Guide?? Thats gonna be like a map of Konoha right!??! Like where Naruto's house is located and the Hokage's office is... It will be great if u can make it map style. And click on certain part of maps to look at the info on soem locations. |

The only way to do that is if one has been included in any form of databooks or encyclopedias. So far, I don't think even Kishimoto himself has drawn a full map of Konoha. |
