But that proves nintendo really wants to make a great game and at least we don't have to wait for it to come out on revolution since it's already backwards compatible. Also Zelda fans will be just as excited whenever it comes out.

Just an FYI (For Your Information) - games are delayed for good reasons. It's not that a company just wants to tick you off, it's that the game is simply not yet suitable for public release. Time constraints often force a game tocome out early and then people report problems. For example, the recent uproar over the Hot Coffee scandal in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The guys didn't have time to rip the minigame out and sew the hole up, so they just buried it where nobody was supposed to find it. If they had more time, they could have removed it completely.

Whateveris holding Zelda back could be anything from a lighting effect to something as complicated as picking up a certain item with a certain monster on screen at the wrong time making the game crash.

It's when games are rushed that you should be worried, like what happens with a lot of licisened games. Hurray for delays!

Nintendo at Tokyo Game Show 2005
Everything you need to know to prepare yourself for Satoru Iwata's keynote speech.
by Matt Casamassina
September 13, 2005 - Nintendo fans are always playing the waiting game. We wait for news on the Big N's next-generation console, codenamed Revolution -- and once we've got it, we wait for more. That's the way it's always been and long-time fans have become used to the system. Nintendo reveals only a portion of its game plan at a time and usually pulls back one or more big secrets for unveiling at a later date. Of course, just about every Nintendo fan knows all too well that the company divulged a considerable chunk of information on Revolution at last May's Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles -- pulling back the curtains on the system's design and a number of its features. However, it left one major piece of the puzzle out of the showing and that is, to the disappointment of many followers, the nature of its still-very-mysterious controller.

Nintendo did at least promise that much more information on Revolution, including details on the control mechanism, would be announced before the end of the year. At first, fans speculated that Nintendo might bring back its annual Space World show, a one-time annual event held in Japan to spotlight the Big N's hardware and software products. But when August and September rolled by without so much as a mention of the show, which has historically taken place during these months, fans were forced to face the likely possibility that it wasn't happening.
So all eyes have turned to the Tokyo Game Show 2005, where Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is scheduled to make an important keynote speech. IGNcube has put together a convenient list of questions and answers to help Nintendo fans through the event. Here's what we know:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will Nintendo be exhibiting GameCube games at Tokyo Game Show 2005?

A: No. The company has historically chosen not to preview its game software at the Tokyo Game Show and this year is no different. Nintendo has no booth at TGS 2005 and no plans to demo GameCube, DS or Game Boy Advance software there.

Q: Is Nintendo participating at all in the Tokyo Game Show 2005?

A: Yes. Company president Satoru Iwata will make a keynote speech to kick off the show.

Q: When will the keynote speech take place and how long will it last?

A: Iwata's keynote is scheduled to take place in Japan on Friday, September 16 at 11:00 a.m. However, this date is meaningless to Americans because our time zones are so different -- Japan is roughly 16 hours ahead. Readers hoping to catch the news as it happens should tune into IGNcube on Thursday, September 15 at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Iwata's speech will last 50 minutes, according to the Tokyo Game Show.

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata talks about Revolution at E3 2005

Q: What is Iwata going to discuss during his keynote?

A: That, obviously, is the big question. There are all sorts of rumors regarding Iwata's speech. What we do know for sure is that he will talk about the industry in general and he will also talk about Nintendo's forthcoming console, Revolution. Nintendo executives near and far have indicated that some big Revolution news is on the way and Iwata's keynote seems the perfect forum for any announcements or unveilings.

Q: Will the Revolution controller come up?

A: Yes.

Q: Will details about the controller be made known?

A: The chances are very good.

Q: Will new Revolution games be announced?

A: Currently unknown, but we don't believe so.

Q: Will video of Revolution games be released to the public?

A: Probably not.

Q: Will IGNcube have a live video stream of the event?

A: No, but we will post the full keynote in video form shortly after it takes place. We will also update live with any breaking news, along with photos, related to the keynote.

Instead of just posting rumours, how about posting links to news or something as backup? So we can at least check the stories? A rumour with no backing isn't worth anything.

Or you can just click ps3 xbox360 or the revolution.
