Shikamaru, feel free to overwrite my post. Well, here's a not so much of a surprise, Kabuto fools us again. Rather a disappointment, I would have liked him to doublecross again, to actually create a difference. I have yet to find a full translation, so I'll post more then. PS. Remember, ix-nay on the ownload-day inks-lay :) EDIT: orly? . i made it multipule choice. choose one please. EDIT: RETURN OF THE BABBITBLOB CHAPPY SUMMARY! 290: The End of the Treason Orochimaru observes the happenings from above as the 'camera' moves in towards the bridge. On the bride Kabuto responds to his orders from 5 years ago, pressing Sasori!Yamato on his ability to pose as Sasori for much longer. Kabuto reports Orochimaru's past bodies are still protected[preserved?] by his reincarnation technique, but Kabuto was unable to analyze those cells. Sasori!Yamato responds lightly, not wanting to accidently give himself away, and recieves a frown from Kabuto. Meanwhile on the side, the remainder of Team Kakashi watches the situation without sound due to the wind. Naruto complains Captain Yamato isnt making any moves, but then Sakura explains that they only have one chance to capture Kabuto, so they must be careful. Sai counters, saying that if they are too careful and prudent, Kabuto will become suspicious. Back on the bridge, Kabuto begins to press Sasori!Yamato more, asking for an unknown object soon, at risk of being discovered by Orochimaru. Yamato decides he must stop the charade, but just has he takes out a kunai to strike, Orochmaru appears behind Kabuto snakes already coiling around his body! Kabuto, who reacted to Yamato's kunai, dodges the binding snakes and retreats to Sasori!Yamato's side. Yamato is mixed between relief and panic, as this intervention rescued his cover for a moment more. Orochimaru greets Sasori!Yamato with thanks, for giving him such a wonderful underling, Kabuto. He explains that creating techniques causes damage to experiment subjects, but Kabuto's abilities allowed each subject to be reused countless times. While Naruto, Sai and Sakura continue to wait for the sign, [Naruto more impatiently than the others], Yamato begins to worry his cover wont last much longer. If he attacks, his attacks will vary from Sasori's, blowing his cover. If he calls the other 3 in, his cover is blown. He debates in his mind when suddenly Kabuto uses his chakra scalpel to slice open the wooden Sasori costume, revealing Yamato inside. Surprised, Yamato instantly jumps out into the open air. Orochimaru responds by sending out Kenei ta Jashuu (Many Hidden Snake Hands) to grab him in midair. The snakes wrap around Yamato and bite into... wood? Yamato's kawarimi falls to the ground, leaving himself safe from the attack. Orochimaru, noticing the wood technique, seems to recognize the wood-user in some way, but his thoughts are inturrupted as Kabuto questions him if this was Sasori's true form, and gets a negative. Upon being questioned by Yamato, Kabuto begins to explain that the technique Sasori placed upon him was dispelled years ago by Orochimaru, and since then he had followed Orochimaru on his own will. He then asks Yamato who he is, but Orochimaru stops him, telling Yamato to bring the other three out of hiding. Realizing he has been found out completely, Yamato calls the rest of his team out. The sound pair recognize a few faces, and wonder, who has grown more of the two rivals? SHORTER SUMMARY!! JEEEZ!! Kabuto plays traitor again and reveals Yamato as a fake. Orochimaru dispelled Sasori's technique years ago and Kabuto has always been loyal to Orochimaru. Orochimaru recognizes Yamato in some way, but decides to just ask for the rest of Yamatos team to come out, so they can begin the fight. The script if you were too lazy to read my giant summary, by the rodent mammal.

I need to have the one i made locked... you beat me to it babbitblob by a few seconds.... well i knew kabuto was playin since he is a horrible actor... yamato has something that orochimaru seems to be suprised about... |

Was Jump leaked early? And now no chapter next week? Well, gotta' say I'm what disappointed. I had hoped Kabuto was the real deal. Ah well, hopefully a translation will make this chapter better. The kids' entrance was pretty sweet, though. |

Kabuto you bastard... "By my own will" priceless, I guess he really gets off doing his job. Now, did Sasori gave a young Kabuto to Orochimaru? that's how they met? maybe I missed the point there. Naruto, you care about Sasuke enough to endure Sai's presence? then WHY won't you cooperate with the mission enough to keep your "profoundly thought" suggestions to yourself? sheesh! Explaination for those who didn't quite understand what happened: After his fight with Sarutobi, Orochimaru's arms were rendered useless and burnt. He seeked a cure for this in the form of Tsunade, but she refused. After his fight against his former teammates, he revealed his true new face before melting away, stating that there was one other way to regain his arms. During the Sasuke Rescue arc, the pain in his arms became so unbearable that he switched into Genryuumaru's body, a sound ninja. After that, we see him next bandaged almost completely, but with functional arms. By switching bodies Orochimaru regained arms. Now this is rather funky because supposedly it was his SOUL's arms that were removed. But fans have simply reasoned that Orochimaru took the new vessel's arms' souls to compensate. Kapeesh? |

This chapter rocked big time. What I didnīt get was when Orochimaru said familiar faces...kyuubi here too. Another translation I read said "I've seen that face many times before, kyuubi is here too". The point is, is Orochimaru being redundant, am I being unclear or did he know Yamato from before. |

Great chapter, nice pleasent surprise, though this means we wont get a chapter next week. Excellent chapter in any case, we see that Snakeface has reverted to his usual form, no more short hair. |

Maybe he didn't like being a Kabuto look-alike so he changed his hair color once again... Nice chapter this time. Kabuto might get in trouble that way; that's the second time he surprised me (last one was when he feigned aiming his kunai towards Orochimaru-san when Oro and Tsunade arranged a meeting). Anyway, do you think Sai's Oro's little brother? Maybe, maybe not...>_> And I don't think Sasuke's gonna appear next chapter; unless Kishimoto wants to give a New Year present...XDD |

Anyone have an idea of why Sasori was to be assassinated by Orochimaru and Kabuto? I don't think there is a truly plausable reason... Killing Sasori would be risky, and it would infuriate the Akatsuki in the process... |

Oro has something against the Akatsuki and he knows that they are out to get him, so he probably wants to stay a step ahead of them by gaining inside info from Sasori. And IMHO, Sasuke could very likely make an appearance in the next chapter. And damn that slippery bastard, I had thought that he wouldnt be the spy cos he was dead loyal to Oro. When it was revealed that he was, I had to apologize for shooting down those who thought he was a traitor. Now they tell me he had been loyal from the beginning! What the hell! |

There's a lot of good stuff in this chapter, possibly the best one in a very long time. So, we've narrowed a few things about Kabuto down. he was originally working for Orochimaru due to Sasori's mind control, implying that originally he never intended to betray Konoha, but he came around to that course after he started working for Orochimaru. We still don't know if Kabuto has his own agenda or not, but he's decidely not loyal to the Akatsuki, and I'm leaning to the actually loyal to Orochimaru course (Orochimaru's comments from back in the chunin exam can now be interpreted as him goading Kabuto about his Akatsuki ties, not any loyalty to Konoha). Well, every super villian has risen to their position with the help of at least one super minion. I wonder about the 'going back in time' technique, I'm leery of anything that medels with temporal causality, it just never seems to work out well, but if the ability is strictly short term that's an interesting power (and it would explain how he survived a rasengan to the stomach, he stepped back in time to avoid it detonating inside him, and only took damage from the penetrating force). The does Sai know Orochimaru question is also intruiging, as is Kabuto's statement that Orochimaru was watching because he intended to kill Sasori, implying he's now oppossed to the Akatsuki. Finally, who wants to place bets on how many chapters Yamato has left to live? |
