I don't think that Hyuuga techniques are broken into two sections, main house and branch house techniques. They're just...Hyuuga clan techniques. If Neji were to strengthen to the degree in which he was the #1 rookie in his class without much training, he should excel after Hiashi's training. To break a water prison... And we haven't even seen him fight too much yet. I just hope we get to see him in action more. |

There are techniques which the Main house teaches and learns that the Branch house doesn't Like Kaiten, and Neij's 64 palms technique but if Neji had developed even more,I mean, even a Jounin would have trouble taking him on back then, how do you think he's developed now? |

Does it ever state that in the anime/manga? Because I don't remember it. If that's true, then branch house members basically would have no Hyuuga jutsus. |

Yes and those are most likely not the only Hyuuga techniques, just the ones that are shown Hiashi states that the Kaiten was a main house technique, and comments on how Neji was a true genius by learning it himself |

I see it now, but Hiashi only states that only the Kaiten was a main house technique. Of course, that doesn't mean that branch members can't learn it. The other techniques are probably not main house techniques, although Hiashi was surprised because Neji was never taught them. Of course, Hiashi said that Kaiten was only taught to the heirs of the clan. So it really isn't a main house technique either. |

Yeah,it is Since the hiers of the clan are all main house members, then that means it's a main house technique Well...back then it would've been But,he was also surprised when he knew Neji was going to use the 64 palm,so that would mean that it is a main house technique too...most likely |

Its actually more of a Hyuuga clan heir's technique. Although Hiashi was surprised, isn't possible that he was surprised because Neji was never formally taught the Hyuuga techniques, like I said before. |

I think Neji was taught the Hyuuga techniques, just not the ones he's not supposed to know There's no doubt Hizashi taught Neji some useful things |

Neji was only four when Hizashi died and hadn't entered the academy yet. I don't think that would happen. |

Neji stated himself that his dad and Hiashi were about equal in terms of power. So, his dad must have known almost all of the jutsus that Hiashi knew for them to be almost the same in terms of power. Stats: Ninjutsu: 7 Genjutsu: 4 Taijutsu: 8 Intelligence: 6 Power: 5 Speed: 8 Stamina: 5 Seal Knowledge: 6 You would think he would be alot more intelligent...Gaara got a 7 in terms of intelligence...i wouldn't consider Gaara smarter then Neji. But, we haven't seen how smart Gaara is so its true but...does anyone have the stats (from the databook) of the other genin? |

Neji is pretty smart, so he should be able to learn some techniques one way or another. We have seen him use intelligence in a fight before. Gaara hasn't shown much intelligence and cunning in battle, probably because he had the Shukaku, but if he made it to Kazekage... |

Actually, didn't they only really make him Kazekage because he asked for it,and because he was the best one available? |

This is getting off topic, like all the other topics... <_< Does it ever say that Gaara asked for the position? Baki could've easily become kazekage too, seeing that he is strong and if he's a jounin...smart. But instead, Gaara became Kazekage. I have a question. Was the barrier that sucked Shikamaru, Naruto, Neji, etc. chakra out too dense for Neji to see through? Because Shikamaru had to confirm where Jiroubou was and I don't think Neji was able to see through it. |

Maybe.....but Neji could see through most things, do you think there was too much chakra(in the barrier) to see through it? After all the sound 4 were experts at making barriers. |

Shikamaru had started talking to Jiroubo, which let him know where Jiroubou was,by hearing his voice Then Neji saw that the thinnest layer of chakra was where the dome had been healing the slowest, and confirmed it with his Byakugan Neji didn't have enough chakra to see all the way through it |

Seems Neji was learning some mid jutsus... better to him. He is one of the "difficult dudes" to beat. But about he been a jounin... it doesn' count so much... cause he is 1 year older than the others (less Lee and Temari). |

Still, to become jounin at the age of 16 (only three years above Kakashi's age when he became jounin), that's still pretty amazing. Not even Lee or Tenten became jounin. Only Gaara was the only one who was younger than him to be at or excel his rank that we know of. |

He's implying that there could be very young jounin scattered across the Naruto world (remember Kakashi's comment about kids yonger than 12 and stronger than him). Also, Sai could potentially be considered a jounin, and might have reached the rank at a very young age. |
