Genjutsu: ? Taijutsu: ? Intelligence: ? Power: ? Speed: ? Stamina: ? Seal Knowledge: ? History: At the age of ten the young man who would become Fourth Hokage graduated from the Academy. Shortly afterwards he became the student of Jiraiya alongside two fellow team members. Under the Ero-Sennin he would greatly increase his skills and impress Jiraiya with his tenacity. Jiraiya would select the boy to carry on the heritage of frog summoning. His skills would further grow with the development of Rasengan and Hiraishin. The latter technique would grant him the nickname "Konoha's Yellow Flash" because of the way he and his bright yellow hair would flicker out of existence to appear elsewhere. As the years passed he became Chuunin and later Jounin. As a Jounin he became sensei of the team of Hatake Kakashi, Rin and Uchiha Obito. As a gift for Kakashi's advancement to Jounin, he gave his him a unique kunai marked with one of the Hiraishin transportation markers. Later in one particular battle, this technique allowed four Leaf ninjas to throw teleportation kunai at 50 Rock-Nin. Using the transportation technique, he was able to move from kunai to kunai while they were in the air, to wipe out all 50 with little trouble. After this battle, his student Rin used Kakashi's kunai to bring the Fourth Hokage to her location to protect her and an unconscious Kakashi from Rock ninjas. Unfortunately by the time he arrived Uchiha Obito was already dead, he managed to save Kakashi and Rin though. They would later go on to fulfill their mission and help repel the Rock invasion. In the months to come he would be selected by Sandaime Hokage to follow him as village leader. His first choice Orochimaru failed to live up to his expectations. The village was in very good hands however. Yondaime's love of his friends and the village would inspire all those around him. He then made the ultimate sacrifice when the Kyuubi came calling. Using one final technique he had developed, the sacrificial Shiki Fuujin, he managed to stop the beast and seal its spirit in the body of the newborn baby Naruto. Though this resulted in Yondaime's death, he managed to save the village. Years later during the invasion of Leaf by Sand and Sound, Orochimaru attempted to use the forbidden jutsu Edo Tensei to bring the bodies of the previous Hokage's back to fight for him. The coffin of the Fourth Hokage was apparently close to emerging when the Third Hokage managed to stop its arrival. Yondaime could continue to rest in peace and his heritage could continue to protect the village. |

I love yondaime alot, since the first episode. Clearly a great ninja with alot of leadership towards fellow ninja, which was shown in the first episode. I wish they can show this character again as in the manga. Edit: Off topic. Did they show that picture of yondaime in the anime? or did someone do a great job of coloring on a computer? |

I believe his strengths were his creativity and leadership ability. He created the rasengan and the hirashin no jutsu; there is a large possibility that with his creativity, ingenuity, and chakra ability that he had a lot more techniques in his arsenal that he made on his own. I think the greatest mystery of Yondaime is what makes him one of the most appealing characters. There is a sense of charisma and greatness about Yondaime. His self-sacrifice and his aura of greatness stemming from him sealing kyuubi. |

One think I dislike about Yondaime is what he is famous for. I think Kishimoto wanted to push Yondaime to a legend too bad. A S-Ranked jutsu based on speed? There are so much better jutsus. |

Well, I agree on the one point where I dislike him, his legendary status is based off hirashin not jutsu and sealing kyuubi with Shiki fujin. That in itself created so much fanboy-ism based on Yondaime's perceived omnipotency. Nothing wrong with having a balace of speed and power. Now, if we can just have a bit more backstory on his days growing up as Jiraiya's pupil. I mean, we can't gauge his personality just based on sealing kyuubi. Yes, it was the greatest act of sel-sacrifice and love for the village but there's gotta be more to him than that. One problem though: He's dead. |

Some people think Yondaime was a pervert since Jiraiya, Sandaime, and Kakashi have the tendency, but I think it was the other guy on his team who was the perv. I like to think of Yondaime as the exemplary shinobi. |

The Hokage I really wish I knew more about, his mystery is compelling, and no doubt for some hidden, sinister purpose the writer has planned to be revealed later on. Beyond that, however, we don't really -know- much about Yondaime. What we do know, of course, I like. He sacrificed himself to save his people, he was a bit of brash, a bit like Naruto in personality (and appearance) but he was able to create and master techniques that still shake the Ninja world to it's foundation like Rasengan. And we know Jiraiya taught him and he taught Kakashi's team (although has anyone noticed we've only been shown the quickest glimpse of Yondaime's fellow teammates under Jiraiya? Whatever happened to those kids, I wonder?) Lots of questions I hope to see answered someday. |

Yondaime Hokage is a darn awesome ninja! He's 1 of my favourite character! We won't find out the stats of Yondaime yet. The only strong ninja we know stats about is Sandaime. |

I would say that his technique was quite impressive. As a ninja where stealth and lightning reflexes determine the close difference between success and failure (=death), his technique fit in quite nicely with his job and his abilities. Sure, it somehow adds to him omnipotency and in turn, fanboyism, but that's not for rational people to discuss. :lol: |

I think that's from the first episode, where they show him standing on Gamabunta's head. Hiraishin is quite possibly the best jutsu ever. Just toss a kunai at your enemy's feet, they say, "Ha! You missed!" and then you teleport over and kick their butt before they've registered what's happening. |

If Orochimaru is said to able to defeat both Itachi and Kisame, and Oro was Yondaimes contender for the position of Hokage, He HAS to be unreasonbly strong. Then there is the fact that he was able to hold off the Kyuubi. He seems like some sort of demon. I need to see him animated in a fight. I was also thinking the reason the 3rd didnt want to see Yondaimes soul unleashed by Oro was NOT entirely so he might rest in peace. The fight would have ended immediately. |
