And the next episode looks even bad.O_o What's going on? On a side note, I love and hate the fight moment between Kakashi and Hidan. So much action and... no music? I opened my player and tried a few tunes from the Shippuuden OST while watching the moment, and it fit so well (especially the Risking it All composition) that I started to wonder if they forgot to put it in and we will hear it there only when the official DVD is out.T_T |

Indeed was a nice episode, especially when Kakuzu was 'killed' 8D Except for the fact everyone knew this was going to happen last week, even those who didn't read the manga, just because they adsklfjaslrwe spoilered it. |

Next episode is being done by the same guy who did episode 82; Hirofumi Suzuki. It'll look amazing, though Chouji does always look a little odd. Which is especially strange given Suzuki is the character designer for the anime. He also did episodes 17, 19, 48 and 151 of the original series. And yeah, the music thing got me too. It was the one moment of the episode with superb animation and some intense action and no music to back it up... Reminds me of episode 15 against Itachi and Kisame, little to no music there either... And there wasn't music added on the DVD version. |

Hirofumi Suzuki, THAT was his name. I remember now. He animates at quite a high level but he always draws Chouji incorrectly, which is annoying. Because of his soft-lines-style I think he's better fit to draw calm episodes like 82 than action episodes like 85. But it is of course a lot better than what we're used to. |

There was a lot of cool action in this episode, and they animated Kakuzu's revelation very well. The omake at the end was lame, though. |

Lol, don't know what got me there :blink: I wanted to write "even better" but it came out as "bad", lol. Just noticed it. :lol: As for the music - too sad. A great moment, nevertheless. :P |

Covers the last 8 pages of 333 and all of 334. 25 pages, 1.5 chapters. Which is just fine really. That was the average rate for episodes in Part 1. |

This episode did good on it's preview. It's funny how everyone just stood there dumbfounded when Kakuzu let loose his lightning and fire jutsu. Hidan walking back into the battle without anyone too worried seemed ok. My problem was the animation looked terrible in the preview. I'm guessing 5 more episodes to end this battle. |

Ditto :blink: My problems with the Episode The lack of blood. Kakuzu was ran through with that Raikiri, not even any blood on Kakashi's hand. Those monsters were supposed to be made of Kakuzu's tendrils, they looked like they were made of some black goo. To much stall, not enough episode. Still had some major lols. |

First let me just say... I mean the episode barely had any problems and the problems you guys are stating are petty and insignifigant and it's just sad... I thought the episode was veryh good nothing was wrong with the animation or artwork for the matter. Also Kakuzu's fire attack looked normal to me thats how the fireballs in Naruto always look.... Also yeah I thought this week episode was real nice good pacing, artwork, and the animation really stood out when Kakashi was clashing with Hidan but as someone said it could of been even more amazing(Like thats possible because I thought it was really great) if there was music. Maybe I'm giving this episode too much credit.... But all I know is that this episode really something to be proud of. I'm really looking forward to next week also now that the Hirofumi sensei is going to be directing the artwork direction again. Lastly yeah also he does seem to draw chouji wierd maybe he has a hard time drawing him...

Oh yeah also referring to when Kakashi stabbed Kakuzu with his lightning blade and there wasnt no blood, mmy guess is that Kakuzu's body is filled with black tendrils and not blood thats a reasonable and plausible answer... |

Ehh, not bad. As usual my thoughts on the episode: 1. Hidan, for the love of God, just shut up; I honestly never thought I'd find someone who sounded more annoying than Naruto, but you take the cake, so please, shut your freakin' pie hole. 2. Yeah, the goo instead of tendrils for Kakuzu's monsters was a little off, but at least the moves were impressive. 3. You were right, the sound department was slacking off in this episode. 4. Well, Ino's doing well as a narrator and very well in the stating-the-obvious department, but is sucking out loud at just about everything else; you know, like being a ninja and stuff. 5. The crater Naruto made is going way, way overboard, but at least I was expecting that. Way to go DBZ on us, guys. 6. The god-awful "wind keeps fire from dying line"; again, it went as I expected, and I needed to puke once this horrible piece of rhetoric was spoken out loud, but fortunately I had anticipated this and kept my trash basket handy. And yes, I'm being very sarcastic, but really, was that crappy line really necessary? Same goes for Sakura's cheesy "believe in Naruto" line. My final thoughts: Yeah, I'm complaining, but this is just about where the manga started to spiral out of control in many, many ways, so I can't really blame the anime guys for all this. Hopefully one or two of the next episodes will be done by the guys who did the second-to-last episode. That would look and sound just freakin' awesome. |

Great episode,had to give this episode a 10 mostly cause of Kakuzu being one of my top favourite characters from the series,and now i know what his "ability" is...he definitely ain't human with these 4 black living things in him.Kakuzu's gonna be a handful for kakashi to take on,the dude's got 4 elements at his will to control and he ain't holding back either,the part where he takes off his cloak,you know he's gonna get serious lol,when he said "i intend to" got me laughing. One thing that i didn't like is that they go and repeat the part where kakashi hits him with the lightning attack,and then go and show it again..like we really need to see it again.Also i was hoping they wouldn't show any naruto at all and just focus the episode on the big fight,still enjoyed it tho. I thought this was a really good episode, it's nice to see Hidan utilizing his scythe the way he does. The animation was really good in my opinion (Chouji's face actually looks normal) but from the preview from the next episode seems to be lacking, especially for Chouji (again; why the heck is Chouji's face always drawn so wrong?). I liked how big Naruto's crater was; I wonder what kind of jutsu created that (smirks). Some argue that it's too DBZ-ish, which it might be, but I still think it's cool. I doubt we'll be seeing Naruto at all in the upcoming episodes since his new jutsu is nearly done. Hopefully Yamato could find the time to teach Naruto water ninjutsu in the future since he knows that Sasuke's fire will triumph over Naruto's wind. Kakashi was awesome as usual and Kakuzu was no slouch either. Those attacks were so freaking destructive, I wish Naruto could somehow learn how to do Pressure Damage/Breeding Force (wind), that would be a huge boost to his arsenal. The False/Mock Darkness (lightning) move was pretty cool as well, finally a lightning attack that actually moves like lightning. Intense Pain/Cranium Carver (fire) looked pretty weird once it started to spread. It looked more like a gaseous substance than a plasma (the fourth form of matter). Overall I thought this was just an amazing episode and it was pretty fast-paced. Kakuzu doesn't mess around and Hidan using his body as bait was pretty cool as well. Hopefully the anime shows some of Kakuzu's water ninjutsu (I know most people don't like added filler but we only get to see 4 of Kakuzu's elements). |

awesome epi kakashi is a little slow on uptake her. 2 of the black bodies use 2 different element and the one that died used earth so makes sense the other one if fire. and water is in him. i was right 2-3 more epi next epi shika seperates hidan, next epi naruto finish join fight next epi finishing of both of them epi after that shika quites smoking even though according to anime he has not started and tells kurenai he got revenge. i was dam close when i said 5-6 epi for the rematch fight |
