Team 7. Kakashi had a slug on him. If he was alive before shinra tensei then he's alive now. Sai is probably with root a mission or was helping get the villagers to safety. Yamato was probably on a mission. That could be anywhere. Team 8 we know. Hinata is with her father outside of Konoha. Team 10. Ino and Chouji had slugs on them. They're ok. Shikamaru was decoding stuff when Pain first strike, so he probably had a slug on him also. Tsunade said she almost had everyone with her slug. lol The elders are probably with the rest of the village and also Kurenai. Many other popular ninja can also be on missions. Team Hawk are probably still healing but are good enough to travel. Would probably be in a village or small town when they hear the news of Konoha's destruction. Team Samui are still on their way. May probably reach after the fight. Also would Killer bee. Akatsuki is currently attacking Konoha. lol. Madara probably send Zetsu for Sasuke or something like that. |

Hmm, cartoonman, thanks for the reply, but I think we should wait until the chapter comes out to update this list. Spoilers are often unclear. Like for instance, we come to know now that Hinata, infact IS in the village, but her father and sister were out. |

Brilliant topic. Keep this up. If Ichiraku Ramen isn't destroyed, I will eat my hat. The folks who own it, I'm okay with whatever their fate may be. But an important landmark, like an important character, should go. Kishi has mercifully spared Mt Hokage Rushmore. Since the anticipated Tsunade vs Pain fight was cruelly yanked from me (I imagined turning herself into a pile of mini-Tsunade bunshins. Anything, please!), I at least hope she'll be the great Hokage and godlike healer she should be and amazingly save lives from the blast, with perhaps Gaara-dramatically-saves-his-village caliber. Raw is out which answers some of these questions. Not surprisingly Shikamaru was with this dad and the researcher. Choji, Kakashi, and Chouza are together altough it's unclear if they ever made it to the hospital. And indeed Hinata was with some Hyuuga. Still no word from Yamato or Sai though... |

I can see that now. lol. We can a lot of confirmed survivors. I still believe Kakashi is alive. It still doesn't make sense for them to show a panel of a dead guy again and again. |

Agreed. But we can only hope. Also, it seems like there was a slug on Kakashi during the blast, so he should have been saved from that, at least. And someone cover up that eye. The chakra loss can't be helping his condition. |

Chapter 430 updates:-FOR EVERYBODY ELSE SITUATION, CHECK PREVIOUS POST- -Team 7- *Kakashi: STILL under the rubble, though we see a slug beside him. Choji has reached him (finally!) *Naruto: He is in Konoha, AND HE IS KICK ASS! YAH! *Sakura: Next to the Hospital, now with a Hyuuga-Fodder character giving her a play-by-play of Naruto's Fight. -Team 8- *Kiba: Hurt, but alive, along with his mom, under the rubble,though I couldn't the two dogs. *Hinata: Hinata was also in some building, along with a Hyuuga bodyguard, Kou. The are alive, though this new Kou guy is Hurt. And apperntly, Hiashi and Hanabi are "away". -Team 10- *Shikamaru: We know know he was with that Shiho girl (ShikaxShiho, the new ship?) His leg is broken. *Choji: Next to his dad and Kakashi, coughing. -InoShikaCho- *Chouza: We see him alongside Kakashi. Choji is next to them *Shikaku: He has popped up next to Shikamaru, and he is appently unhurt. -Misc Konoha Shinobi- *Tsunade and the four ANBU: She survived (forgot about that head-mark-thingie) Only one of the ANBU was shown (gee, so much for elite...). Naruto saved her from the Asura realm's-uh-tentacle-rape, tell her to "go drink tea or something, granny!" --New entry-- (forgot about these last time.) -Misc Konoha Shinobi- *Iruka: Injured, under the rubble, but alive.Has a slug with him. -Akatsuki- *Pain: -Deva Realm[Yahiko]: He is fighting with Tsunade, or rather, Naruto, now. -Hell Realm[Enma]: revived Asura realm, then was summoned By Animal realm to Deva realms' position -Asura Realm[Robot]: Hell realm revived him with the Enma thingie....Only to be crushed by Naruto in one blow. PWNED! -Animal Realm[Summoner]: She jumped and summoned all the Pains to Deva realms's Position -Human Realm[Soul-Sucker]: Animal-realm summoned him to Deva realms's Position. -Hungry Ghost Realm[Chakra-Sucker]: Animal-realm summoned him to Deva realms's Position. *Konan: Apparently the Konan around the Pain group is a Paper Bushin. Not sure if the real one is nearby, or back all the way in Hidden Rain. -Misc- *Kabuto/Orochimaru; Ever since Kabuto gave Naruto the Akatsuki Book, nothing has been heard from Him. That's all for now. Please inform me of any errors or omissions. Let me add some things: Shino: Was in the battle but we haven't seen him after the blast along with some with his dad. They could be dead since they weren't shown with the survivors. Ino: No news from her or her dad since they weren't shown with the surivors. They were with an ANBU (I think) and they had some info on Pain. Choji: He gonna search for his dad but we haven't seen him after the blast. His chances of living are a little higher since he could have been near his dad who was shown alive but hurt. Kurenai: No idea. I assumed she was with Hinata, but she turned out to be some other Hyuuga, or Shikamaru, but he was with his dad and Shiho (I think that's how you spell that?) |

I corrected about Choji, I had missed him the last time, the pic that time had been unclear. Thanks for the correction, Dynamic Entry i need vigilant people like you to help maintain this list. As for the others, the reason I didn't enter their info was because their status hadn't changed. E.g, Shino, his status is unknown, so the comment for chapter 429(*Shino:Was fighting Konan alongside his family. Maybe is caught under the Blast) is still relevant for him. No need to duplicate data and waste space. That's why I wrote in all caps.
(Line bold for furthur emphasis) Same for Ino, Anko, Kurenai, I only wrote about those ninjas whose status had changed, from what I wrote in chapter 429. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *EDIT* I realised the above maybe too wordy to understand, so here the short version: -If your Favorite ninja isn't here, check the last chapter's thread, he/she is still doing what is written there, there is no fresh news. :D Don't worry, I will do rehash every **9th so you will only have to check ten chapter-posts at most. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Edited by ryz, Jan 8 2009, 07:36 AM.

Aren't Kakashi and Shizune technically equally "dead". Both of them have zero chakra in their bodies. Only popularity is really keeping Kakashi from dieing. If some character finds a way to help Kakashi then Shizune would have the same potential to survive wouldn't she? I doubt she will come back though. |

Not necessarily. They've left Kakashi's death ambiguous, so he hasn't been 100% confirmed to be dead, despite what common sense would dictate. As for Shizune, her soul was removed. Adding chakra to her body would not bring it back. |

This is what I dont get why would Pain have two bodies that do the same thing? I think he only took out all her Chakra. Really why would you need two soul snatcher bodies? |

It took out a spectral form of her body, just like what Sarutobi was trying to do to Orochimaru. It was pretty obvious that he was removing her soul, chakra wouldn't be in that shape if it was removed.
That's no their primary function, it's a side ability used afterward. Those same two bodies are both used for interrogation anyways. |
