Please welcome our seal toting, secret having, old school, overload the sixth Hokage. The thing about that seal is that Kishi is deliberately making Danzou to be a shade of gray. He has not done enough for the audience to say that he is evil and yet he has done somethings that make him seem like he could be. I wouldn't be surprised if he really turned out to be a good thing for the village and for Naruto's character growth. The way things are going though he is being setup to fail as both of the main characters have a grudge against him. And another thing, that seal is pretty far back on the tongue. What did they have to do to get that back there? And it must have hurt like hell. I guess that is one of the initiation rights of becoming a root ninja. I still say that the man has something to hide that warrants that type of thing. |

im still unsure of sai. he has so much potential to be an interesting character and makes the plot very interesting now that danzou is hokage. with this tongue seal, it sort of limits how interesting he can be for a while. |

But Sai has ink and paper. He's also very smart. There's no way that he can't not tell them what's with him. Well except for showing them his tongue. Not much for this chapter besides knowing Sasuke worked for Akatsuki. |

I disagree with this. He has not shown anything to say that he is as evil as say Orochimaru yet, but he has done some pretty wicked things. E.G. killing that toad in cold blood that was supposed to send for Naruto. In the Naruto world these Toads have just as much mind and heart as a person does, which essentially makes him a murderer, and for what? So that he could prove that he was right? Doesn't he also instruct some Konoha ninja not to help defend Konoha against Pain because he hopes that Pain's actions will help him to overthrow Tsunade? And it has been a long time since I read those chapters, but didn't he say that Root was also created so that he could forcibly become Hokage or somthing like that? I don't remember if that last one is exactly correct but the point stands. Danzou might be a good leader, or he might not, that depends on your point of view. But you can't deny that he is a moral-less person, and an evil one. You CAN argue that he is a nessicary evil. Even that he would be a better Hokage then Tsunade if you wish. Didn't Sai revealed to Naruto and co. what was his actual mission in Orochimaru's hideout. So the seal didn't work then. Or hell, the guy's whole jutsus are revolving around drawing, so can't he write something down if he wanted to reveal anything about Danzou? |

Ninjas kill, so what? Decisions have to be made all the time and one life means nothing to the death of many as part of the ninja millitary. Just look at the Hyuuga and the third's decision. Nothing there makes the third better than anything we saw Danzou already did. Danzou wanting to be Hokage is still up there as "good" in being that he wants Konoha to be controlled the right way. Overthrowing a messed up leadership may seem to be a right decision right? Similar to what we want to see Naruto do. Overthrow Danzou the one who will destroy Konoha. Danzou could say the same exact thing for the Third and Tsunade. ^_^ . There really isn't any definition of evil in this ninja world. Nor is there any for good. Using good and evil really doesn't make any sense. If killing is evil then most ninja are guilty. Even Kakashi and Shikamaru. This makes sense. Unless they just got those seals in quick succession, in some tent, Sai should of died sometime ago, seeing as he definitely did give out classified information. |

Haha. Not really. So Danzou himself uses seals. I wonder what exactly is the deal with the cloud ninja. The spoilers are too confusing. Did they do some type of attack, just say their names, are people talking about their swords. It's probably just one of those confusing spoiler moments that'll be different in the actual manga. It seems we might get a page of Sai looking back at some past event. |

what im thinking is they did something like a chakra wave or sword flash wave etc. the person who might have blown Naruto and Sakura back might have wind element. Hope thats the case cuz Naruto beat from yesterday spoiler was pretty much lame. |

^ But the thing is why would they just suddenly attack them? Especially just after talking with the hokage and after a major attack by Akatsuki in Konoha. Is it also part of their strange personality or are they just upset about them being from Sasuke's team and not doing anything. Probably this is something we'll only find out after reading the manga since these spoilers aren't clear. |

There is a difference between killing for the good of your people and villiage, and killing for personal gains. War is a deadly thing, and people die for the sake of their country. And yeah, I suppose that you could argue that killing the Toad was in his own mind in the best interests of the country and villiage. However I think that he is so filled with greed and egoism that he has deluded himself into believing that he is what is best for the nation. That is of course an opinion and not suitable for an argument so how about this... No matter what, in a time of crises like when Pain attacked Konoha, you try and save as many people as you can and protect you villiage. The fact that he was willing to let his own people die because it would make Tsudane seem weak. THAT is evil. No matter what the reason, your first duty is to your people, which is why I don't consider most ninja to be evil, because though they may kill people, they are doing so to protect and better their villiage. Danzou put himself above the people of his villiage, even their lives. Now if he had used this incedent as an argument against Tsunade later, then that would be different, but to actually try and make it worse so that she would look bad, sacrificing lives and then pinning the blame on Tsunade, that is unforgivable Once again, there is a very big difference between killing and murdering. Murdering is to kill a defenceless person for your own personal gain. Who did Shikamaru kill? Hidan? Stabbing a defenceless person from behind is far different then engaging in combat with an enemy who is capable of defending themselves, and who are far from innocent themselves. When two people agree to battle each other in a combat situation, both accepting the concequences of a loss, and taking into consideration the world that they live in, a culture of honor, then no I don't consider what Shikamaru did to be evil, nor anything that we have seen Kakashi done. Hidan, Kakuzu, Zabuza, those people are dangerous men who presented a threat to the people of Konoha, and have killed and will continue to kill hundreds of people themselves. Killing them is not the same as murdering a defenceless guy from behind. Danzou on the other hand, kills people who are supposed to be his allies, and even the people who he as a ninja of Konoha has sworn to protect with his life (as shown when he purposely allowed Pain to continue his crusade even when he could have helped). That is why I consider Danzou evil. Again, how evil he is has nothing to do with how effective of a Hokage he might be, but he is still I believe evil. Yeah, Danzou is scared of the public siding with Naruto? Man, the kid could probably kill everyone in the village after he went toe to toe with Pain. Now these cloud guys are supposedly "schooling" him and Sakura? I guess he is pretty lame unless he goes Sage mode or Kyuubi. This manga hardly makes sense anymore. |

@ King of Everything - Well there are things that he has done that can be 'considered' evil based on the person's perspective. Like I said Kishi is setting him up as a shade of Gray. It may be dark gray but there are still plausible explanations as to the actions that he has taken. The mere fact that he is being setup as an antagonist means that he won't succeed in the long run. It will be interesting at the end of the day (or the end of the manga) to see how he gets his just desserts (mmmmm Pwning Pie). It is also becoming more clear that the seal is to protect Danzou and not root. Notice the spoiler says that if he says too much about Danzou, not too much about root, that he goes numb. That's self preservation for you. Oh and don't get it twisted. I think that Danzou is as shady, underhanded, and scummy as they come. If I ever had to get a lawyer I want a guy like that though :lol: What I am saying is that the things he has done does not preclude him from being the hokage, rather in certain circumstances it makes him very efficient at his new job. |

Dude, Seriously the chapter is not even out yet. You make it seem like the cloud are whooping their a** within a inch of their life. Naruto and Sakura were talking crap and the cloud got mad and jumped them by surprise. That's it nothing more. |
