Tak is back! Seriously, I think Suigetsu sounds like Takizawa from EotE. And also, the cowboy theme is back! There were distinct Yaoi themes in this episode, what with a naked Suigetsu holding (groping?) Sasuke and all. The Animation team must have had a field day. Sasuke had a fangirl brigade, Suigetsu ate seven cups of yogurt (coincidence much), Sasuke doesn't recall the villain, other then that it was filler. Edited by ryz, Jun 25 2009, 10:19 AM.

Just watched the episode. Gawd, Suigetsu talks too much. Sasuke barely answers. Suigetsu defeating all of those men. HAHAH, that was fun to watch. Random filler...Tazune and Inari at Lightning Country and Tenzen Daikoku dude filler.... Suigetsu's eyes are purple, lol. Why does Karin have dark brown hair, that is shown after the ending song? it was uppose to be red like Kishimoto drawn on that volume cover. |

... is that really Pierrot's visuals? I'm immensely impressed with the B-grade animation/art, the team handling this episode was most certainly top-notch for Naruto. I couldn't spot much mistakes or inconsistencies here at all, everything was excellent while at the same time not being too good to the extent of exaggeration. It's a huge surprise after seeing dozens of episodes by sub-par teams in a stretched filler arc (and to a lesser extent, the two canon episodes before this one) to finally view an episode with exceptionally high quality artwork. WE NEED MORE ANIMATION TEAMS LIKE THIS. The plot and filler comprising the majority of this episode -- though some will inevitably dislike it -- were actually enjoyable to me, it doesn't matter the least that other super-powered ninja aren't involved in the opposing forces this week. We're instead reminded that the ninja world is still heavily infested with crime lords like Gato in the first arc, only this time it's about Sasuke and Suigetsu partaking an amusing quest to retrieve Zabuza's sword from one of them. Really liked the funny yogurt scene with Suigetsu and Sasuke, and Pierrot provides us with some mild action along the way when the two face hordes of bandits with their Taijutsu while also being given more development in terms of their relationship. Suigetsu is certainly an interesting character, and to see him go on an investigation with Sasuke supplies to us a unique and humorous form of entertainment all but lacking in other episodes. The mercenary Zouri from the very first arc also returns, but I doubt anyone really cares about that. Overall, although nothing particularly groundbreaking, this was an all-around solid episode, the fact one of Part I's high-grade animation teams tackled this one might be a good sign for the anime's future. While the previous two episodes involving Orochimaru were good, this one really stands out on its own and is arguably superior given the excellent animation team and fun plot as well as generally having less flaws. Both the animation and storyline were reminiscent of the more joyful-toned Part I, the light-hearted filler incorporated is definitely a nice break from the usual routine of dark and gritty themes evident in most of Shippuuden's episodes. Undoubtedly a great episode. 8/10. |

Not a bad episode. The animation wasn't too great, but not bad either. Not a bad episode to introduce Suigetsu to the team and to understand his personality a bit. The cowboy theme is really awkward though. I can't say I like that too much. Spoiler: click to toggle

great episode, but a LOT was cut from the manga on this one. I think Suigetsu voice fit him perfect. fillers stuff was ok. That right! NO Naurto this time. he's on mandatory leave. 9/10 from me. Edited by Pervy Sennin, Jun 25 2009, 11:04 AM.

I gave this episode a lower grade because of the dull filler. They wasted a whole episode doing what we knew would happen. The animation was spot on and that lab where Sasuke met Suigutsu looked creepy. His voice was knida what I'd expected very talkitive and somewhat sadistic. Next episode looks like Sasuke gets another person on his team. Will tune in next week. |

We call it a "lack of lighting" around here -- I really can't imagine a character's hair maintaining a bright color in the dark. Her hair is red, you can confirm this for yourself by visiting the Japanese Shippuuden site and seeing Karin's official anime design. |

This is a great episode. However, why did Suigetsu point at Sasuke's head in the shape of a gun? Although that happened in the manga, guns do not exist in the Naruto world. And, what is with the seven yogurts reference? I honestly do not understand its importance, if it has any. |

I think tis was a alright episode it was not tat g8 and im a bit disappointed about suigetsu voice actor I lik him more in de manga tis was such a good chapter in de manga but de anime disappointed me a bit I did not lik de filler y not show Naruto or another group tat has little show time like Hinata team I think de anime mess up tis g8 chapter of de series. De anime might still be on a hang over from de last arc im jus a bit disappointed |

Nice ep the animation was nice Suigetsu is a clown, Sasuke is still bad ass but I wish I can see more of their skills... Blade flashes, water droplets, and burnt arrows is all they gave us, but it was still an enjoyable episode 10/10 |

He talks a lot. I taught his voice could of been a lot better though. I didn't like the change to cartoon animation for when Suigetsu was in the water. Animation was weird-ish at times. Good filler plug in though. Was normal. |

Can I just say even though we've heard only a few words, I think Karin's voice was exactly how I wanted it to be :wub: . I'm more than satisfied with Suigetsu voice and filler conversations. If the animation keeps up I don't think I'll have any complaints about the arc. I have to admit that I do like that they took the time to make various references to the Land of waves arc showing how much things had changed. Things just get better and better 8/10. |
