Anybody know in which chapter the pictures of the teams appear? And by Teams I mean The First and Second Hokage's team, The Third's team, Jiraiya's team, The Fourth's Team.

I'm just going by manga, but I can't remember ever seeing any pack-animals such as horses or donkeys being used for any reason. Is there actually any use of 'em in the manga at all? Also, are there actually vehicles in use? Please, no anime episode-based answers, if you please.

I had created a thread on this very topic. And yes, there are no wheels in the manga. I will post the link of that thread, if I find it, you can further this discussion there.

The final post in that topic is over three months old, and questions pertaining to the sightings of wheels and horses etc. in the manga are just as suitable for this thread. Resume the discussion here, please.

The Jinchuurikis were already established w/in their respective villages by the 2nd Hokage's reign. Weren't the Jinchuurikis meant as a source of power for the village? But as far I can tell, they weren't seen or mention during the Last Great Ninja War (Per chapters pertaining to the war.). What happened to them during this time?

Most Jinchuurikis are either exiled or looked down upon by the general population. A few in Konoha and the Raikage's village seem to be the exception (well, now Konoha loves Naruto, but it wasn't like that originally). They may have been originally meant as weapons, but almost everyone saw them as untameable monsters that shouldn't be trusted and definitely shouldn't be used to further a war.

Of course, this is speculation on my part. I'm not exactly sure if I'm right.

You forgot Sunagakure. They cared about their jinchuuruki as well. (Gaara)

Sand caring for Gaara is a recent development. Until he became Kazekage, he and the previous Jinchuurikis to contain Shukaku were viewed monsters, sociopaths or failed experiments. Generally, whichever they were, they were beings that were feared.

But he wasn't kicked out of the village or not cared about.
Gaara still had his siblings, the kage and Baki.
He even entered the chuunin exam and was in a team that cared about him and did missions.

The same cannot be said with any of the others. (Except Naruto,Yugito,Killerbee)
I'm saying the higher-ups at least protected him somewhat and treated him as a village ninja even if they only saw his as a weapon.

The higher-ups didn't care for Gaara at all, they constantly tried to kill him. Arguably there are only two people who actually cared about him: his two siblings. Everybody else hated and feared him, that was the point of his character and his development.

Gaara flatly admitted to Naruto and Shikamaru that his dad was trying to kill him from age six until the Chuunin Exams.

Chiyo never came into the picture, so you can't say she cared for him. And ya, that's part of Gaara's insanity, his dad constantly tried to kill him by sending assassins after him.

Ahh I see. I'll have to watch that again.

Either way though. The point I'm trying to prove is he still had a better life than.

-Roushi

Okay, here's another question: is it ever shown, in the anime or manga, how Hinata met Naruto? Just the academy-type of meeting, or was it something else?

They shared the same class in the anime, though I don't recall the manga ever showing her in the classroom with Naruto.

When the Chuunin Exam came around, Naruto knew who she was, so I'm inclined to believe he'd at least heard of her to a mild degree.

In war, there are usual no thoughts about not to use to further a war, the only thought is to win a war @ any way possible or cost, regardless of the "collectral damages". After all, the Jinchuurikis weren't given the choice to be what they are. Just surprise that no mention of the Jinchuurikis were made during these "ninja war stores".

Depending on which continuity you go by, Raiga doesn't count.

Since they named Raiga in a filler episode, I'm guessing that Kishi really doesn't have plans to show the names of all 7. At least not in the manga. And if they show up in the anime, I'm afraid they'll all have to be just as horribly insignificant as Raiga as well.

Or he could simply not acknowledge Raiga's existence. The anime has no bearing on the Manga, Kishomoto has no obligation to say that Raiga was a member of the swordsmen or even say that he existed.
