I believe that Gai said that it was a great assassination technique because it turns your arm into a nearly indestructible sword that can cut through nearly anything. Basically you are left with a jab with almost no resistance what so ever. This means that it can cut straight through a vital organ.

Also, it doesn't really matter if you’re seen or heard because you are moving so fast. It is not easy to dodge when used correctly.

You're also missing a vital need for chidori: the sharingan. With it dodging incoming blows is far easier. The sharingan is what completes the chidori and what makes it so reliable.

Assassin Techniques don't necesarily have to be quiet, infact apart from Shunshin no Jutsu I don't recall any technique being specifically silent. Imo it's because it's a straight thrust and can kill anyone in it's way or destroy anything in it's path. If you notice when Kakashi/Sasuke use Chidori or the S rank version, the opponent/target have to be either still or at least in the same view/direction as they are. Hope this helps!

its still to unreliable..... and personally if i want to assassinate someone i dont want to be heard... and preferable not seen...

Yea, that would never work on anyone.

Especially someone named Kakuzu.

Gaara's uncle, Yashamaru, used a more controlled version of what Sasuke used. He made the kunai float and attack Gaara without touching them. I figure it was just channeling his chakra through them. Same with tree climbing exercise, just channel your chakra into it to make it stick. Sasuke may have made it only partially stick so it would be easier to throw and wouldn't cost as much chakra.

Thanks. That clears it up for me.

Anyway, there's something else I'd like to ask. Gogyou Fuuin, as has been stated by the site, involves the presence of the five elements on each finger. Does this mean that Orochimaru can use all of the five elements simultaneously?

Note: This, however, doesn't necessarily mean he could already combine them to form another element. Also, the entry for Gogyou Fuuin states the five elements as water, metal, earth, fire and wood. Was this just some minor error or did the databook really state this?

If this question was already asked before, I apologize in advance. Please just direct me to the page or thread where this was answered. If this question doesn't really fit into the "type" of questions that were supposed to be answered on this thread, then I apologize once again.

The five elements used in Gogyou Fuuin are the five Chinese elements, whereas the chakra elements are based on the Japanese elements of earth, water, fire, wind and void/sky/heaven (replaced with lightning).

Promo materials for Shippuuden.

And the Fourth pic is from a CCG card. The card had no real background, so I simply dropped him in with a roof background.

Thanks Shikamaru. I also did some searching and came to a conclusion that the reason those are out (and only showing Team Gai and the Sand Siblings) was because of Narutimate: Accel that's comming out for the Wii.

By the way that game looks to be a good one.

I think Sarutobi had a flashback to when he was younger and it had the First Hokage and Second Hokage in it. I believe this happened near the end of his fight with Orochimaru.
