There was a one episode filler involving Kon that I really liked. Other than that, none come to mind. |

@Risen: From where you're at, there are approximately ten episodes of filler coming up. Four episodes go into a Rangiku centered filler where she tries to aid the soul of a little kid who's trying to save his sister. Four one episode fillers centered around Toshiro and Karin, Ikkaku, Yumichika, and Kon respectively. Finally, a two episode filler centered around the Soul Reapers in Karakura Town fending off a trio of Arrancars who rebel against Aizen's rule. After that, there's only one mini filler left in the first part of the Hueco Mundo arc. The next 'big filler' comes up for Season 8 and it's not really as long as the Bount Arc [thank goodness]. P.S. review of today's episode to be up soon. Okay. Saw the episode. I thought Kenpachi was really cool in this epi, though it sucks for Izuru. Yumichika claimed victory over his Zanpakuto, which is cool. I wonder what's next. Overall, an enjoyable episode. Edited by Twilight_Ninja, Nov 3 2009, 11:23 PM.

Quite liked the new episode. Always wanted to see Byakuya vs Kenpachi......... always nice to see Byakuya have a face of concern once in a while rather than the indifferent look he normally has. I'm just waiting for the day we get to see Yachiru fight.............. Is she actually vice captain (or above) ability wise or did she just get the position because of Kenpachi? |

i have a theory regarding this zanpakuto filler: the facts that we have so far: - captain commander is mia - byakuya changing sides - muramasa leading the rebellion my theory muramasa may have been a zanpakuto of someone who is related to the captain commander and he may have conspired with them to see and train how soul society will react with such a situation. byakuya being a 'rule book' guy, he will very much follow his commander. but after the rebellion is done with, muramasa goes berserk because of the hollow that he has absorbed... |

Good thing those lame people finished their lame @zs fight with flowers. There was to much time wasting as well. I know that's how it's supposed to be, but at least give the episodes some meat. Only good thing. Kenpachi's energy burst. |

I see they tried to make it appear as if Uryu took down Szayel as soon as he made his appearance on this particular battlefield but I knew it wasn't going to be that easy to take down an Espada. Since Szayel made reference to Uryu's previous battle I had a feeling he had a few tricks up his sleeve to weaken him. The teamwork displayed by Uryu and Renji in order to try to defeat Szayel was pretty awesome in my opinion. I liked the combination of the Kido attack and the explosive pentagram attack. Szayel's ability to heal himself by eating his own Fraccion was also quite interesting. Grimmjow showing up to save Orihime was quite unexpected. I thought those two female Arrancar were quite foolish to believe they could stand up to him. I can't believe that Orihime actually healed them after Grimmjow was done dealing with them. She really is way too nice. I mean they beat on her, talked down to her and even came close to doing great harm to her yet she still takes the time to heal them. Originally I thought Nel was going to be the one to heal Ichigo. I thought she would use her saliva to heal him like she did after his battle with Dordoni. After Grimmjow saved Orihime and brought up that he wanted her to do something for him I had a feeling he would make her heal Ichigo. Even though I had this feeling I kept my fingers crossed in hopes that this wouldn't be the case. Sadly my fears came true and Grimmjow had Orihime heal Ichigo just so he could fight him. This had me rolling my eyes. What a foolish move on Grimmjow's behalf. Overall the two dub episodes this weak were decent. Grimmjow having Orihime heal Ichigo and Szayel leaving Uryu and Renji behind to go change his clothes were both moments that made me shaking my head. However I really liked the teamwork between Uryu and Renji. I am also intrigued by the confrontation at the end of the second episode between Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. |

So it looks like Old man Yama is being guarded by Ukitake's Unohana's and Shunsui's Zanpakuto respectively. I liked the fact that Yachiru was just playing around with Mayuri's zanpakuto (hope that she does turn out to be strong when she does fight). Always like abit of Mayuri toying with his tet subjects. LOL |

Interesting. Yamamoto's being held by the Zanpakuto of the three oldest Captains after him. Uh oh. Does this mean his Zanpakuto is joining the rebellion? O.o If so, it'd admittedly be awesome, but still.... So two more Captains got their Zanpakuto back, but not before some casualties [by incapacitation] came about. |

Like I said in my last post the Ulquiorra and Grimmjow confrontation was very intriguing. I liked seeing two Espada duke it out, even if it was for a short amount of time. In my opinion watching these two trade cero blasts was very cool. From the looks of it Grimmjow got the better of Ulquiorra by temporarily trapping him. That was a smart move on Grimmjow's behalf. Grimmjow's battle with Ichigo in these two episodes was very entertaining. I liked it when he blocked Ichigo's sword attack with one hand and fired a cero at him with his other hand. That was a neat move. Business definitely picked up once Ichigo started using his hollow mask and Grimmjow released his sword. I definitely find Grimmjow's released state a lot more impressive than Aaroniero's. Throughout the battle I noticed how Ichigo could keep his mask on longer than the previous times he used it. I am glad that Grimmjow noticed this as well. I happen to agree with Grimmjow's interpretation as to why this was the case. Either way it was nice to watch Grimmjow gain the upper hand until the very end when Orihime's cheering magically gave Ichigo the power to turn the tides. How typical. I thought the two dub episodes this week were pretty fun to watch. I wish that the Ulquiorra and Grimmjow fight would have lasted a bit longer and could have done without the Orihime drama though. With that said I believe that the fight between Grimmjow and Ichigo certainly made up for it. |

This was my first time watching the animated version of Ichigo vs. Grimmjow and so far, it's turning out very awesome! I prefer anime to manga in general, but this was just excellent. IMO, perhaps the best fight in the entire Hueco Mundo Arc. And we got to hear Harribel's Fraccion. I recognized Sun Sun and Apache as Karen Strassman and Megan Hollingshead respectively. I could be wrong, but it sounds like them to me. But I can't tell with Mila Rose. At any rate, I greatly enjoyed these episodes and the fight they entailed. Some very nice action. |

I agree that Ichigo vs Grimmjow is the best fight in the HM arc. The animation in episode 166 is just fantastic and I noticed some slight change in the dialogue for Ichigo. I loved the bit where he tells Grimmjow if he thinks the fight is boring then he'll spice it up a bit. I wonder when the double episodes will stop? I pray that it is after the next filler arc which was just awful (IMO). |

Saw the RAW. Pretty so-so episode. Loved Yoruichi pwning Haineko and Tobiume. Kazeshini was finally defeated. It wasn't by his wielder, but I guess some Zanpakuto are set up to be beaten by their wielders and some aren't. Just like with Izuru's Zanpakuto. So the current matchups look like: Ichigo vs. Muramasa rematch Kenpachi vs. Tenken and Gonryomaru. Jushiro vs. Sogyo no Kotowari Shunsui vs. Katen Kyokotsu Pretty interesting. Looking forward to more. |

Well Kazeshini (sp?) is now "dead" and everyone (but Ichigo official) are set for their battles. I've only seen a sub for 2/3 of the episode so cannot comment on some of the things sad. I just want to know what will happen with the vasto lorde that Musamura absorbed. |

It's a shame that there was only one new dub episode this week. I wonder if this means that the dub schedule will revert back to showing the previous weeks new episode (In other words a repeat) and then a brand new episode. I suppose this was bound to happen eventually. If I saw correctly next week there will be no new dub episode as Adult Swim will be airing a Bleach movie. I am glad that Grimmjow wasn't down and out after taking that attack from Ichigo. I would have been pretty disappointed if that was the end of the fight. Wow, Ichigo sure has been getting a lot of holes punched into his body lately. In this fight against Grimmjow he had two holes punched into him while in his fight against Ulquiorra he had that one devastating hole punched through his chest. Grimmjow's ultimate attack was pretty interesting but I thought Ichigo broke through it a bit too easily. Once again Ichigo has failed to finish off his opponent after defeating them. Sigh, when will he ever learn? I just hope he doesn't have Nel heal Grimmjow like he had her heal Dordoni. Overall the one new episode was good. As I stated above I liked seeing Grimmjow continue to battle on. I also liked how we got to see a bit of Grimmjow's past. This episode actually was quite informative. Not only did we see some of Grimmjow's past but we also got an explanation of how Hollows become Menos Grande and how Menos Grande become Adjuchas. I would have never thought that some Hollows consumed so many of their own kind. |

Only the one episode this week so probably back to one new episode a week (which couldn't have come at a worse time because the amagai filler arc is pants. As MS stated I like the explaination of a meno's evolution and glad to see Grimmjow wasn't down and out after last week. |

Great episode. Loved the animated fight. :D It was awesome stuff and I also loved hearing the evolution cycle of the Menos. Grimmjow's past was good too. Well, next week, it's Bleach movie 1. The following week, it will be Bleach movie 2. After that, it shifts back to double episodes, but they have not yet received the label of being new episodes. |

I don't know about anyone else but I just cannot watch the English Dubs with the Espada, they're horrible beyond all belief. Dear god especially young Nel... The only voice that I thought was decent was Grimmjow... Japanese voice actors + English subs is the only way to go. |

I'd have to disagree with that. To each their own, of course, but I personally prefer English dubs to the Japanese voice-acting almost 100% of the time. Especially uncut. It's a situation about preference, of course. Many like the Japanese voices better, but there are also many who like the English voices better. It just depends, I guess. |

Did you really find Japanese Aaroniero's voice to be that much superior to the English one? :o I think it's a bit too early to really judge most of the Espada on their voice acting since they've only said a few lines. As for Szayel and Nnoitra say what you want. IMO, Greg Eagles playing Zommari is just win! I do get what your saying about Nel, but I can't really comment on her voice until we see her later. Nel up to this point is suppose to be loud and annoying and that's definitely been emphasized in the dub. |
