Filler was actually pretty good. It's rare to see Naruto use Taijutsu, and use it effectively at that, so the fight seem was pretty interesting, even if the Gaara clone was pretty random. More filler next week, this time showing some of Naruto's training with Jiraiya during the timeskip. |

Now ghosts...? Anyway not as bad as last week. More entertaining once Naruto threw on the bushy rags on. I had forgotten Guy had given him a pair. The fight scene was good, what else would you expect from a Gaara ghost... :lol: |

was that bad at all 8/10 oh the jealousy for Sasuke between Sakura and Ino will never die. OMG! its Bushy Brow Naruto! Fighting between fake Garaa and Naruto was good. One of the best filler fights I've seen so far. The animation and artwork almost looked "movie like" and can't help but think why do they waste talent like that on filler [sob, sob] more filler next week [more sobbing] |

A decent episode, at least better than last weeks. Liked how all the bad luck stuff started popping up. Next week's episode IMO looks alright and I'm looking forward to watching it. 7/10 |

I gotta say, the facial expressions in this episode were pretty detailed and a bit reminiscent of the Megaman Zero series. The Naruto-Gaara fight was pretty cool and gives an alternate perspective on the Chunnin exam round up matches. Oh yeah, I can understand flowers releasing pheromones to induce an altered state of consciousness but to have it actually manifest in reality? Now I know I'm watching fiction! As for critiques the episode lacked build-up and the ghost thing only served to incite fear in the minor characters. Edited by horyo, Nov 18 2010, 05:04 PM.

I didn't mind this episode so much as the other fillers, i still want them to end soon though. Naruto fought well, and i always enjoy Guy sensei. Atleast next week has some point to the story with naruto learning genjutsu defence. Also J-man is in there always good to see him. |

There's a new research field opening up here. How animation makes fillers good. Now, I just hope that such awesome animation-wise episodes are a result of sole skills and effort of outstanding animators and not of pouring extra-bucks into the process. This was actually an ok episode. Next week's double has Jiraiya in it (looks like the little filler bit they showed a while ago when Naruto was trying to break out of Itachi's genjutsu), so it could be great. |

My favorite part of the episode had to be when Naruto was fighting against that fake Gaara. The way the fight started made me think of the Rock Lee versus Gaara match up during the Chuunin Exam. Naruto wearing the same outfit as Lee and his usage of Taijutsu are what made me think of that. Naruto then popping out of the ground to give the fake Gaara an uppercut made me think back to his fight with Neji. Overall I thought the fight was entertaining. In the end this episode wasn't half bad. It was certainly better than some of the other episodes we have had to endure. Besides the Naruto and fake Gaara fight I got a real kick out of all of the bad luck signs that kept freaking Ino and Sakura out. I am actually looking forward to next weeks episodes because they are finally doing filler about Naruto's training with Jiraiya. We have been wanting to see that for the longest time now. As for this episode I give it a 7. |
