Genin Posts: 265 Group: Member Member #21,302 Joined: April 13, 2011	lol yes me too but i was still really glad to see a jiriya flashback i mean who wouldnt love to see jiriya again i give this a 9/10 (on the filler scale) really good episode with jiriya's one sided love with tsunade really nice and also having a little fight in these fillers is good ideas and also we are seeing the just naruto's power with what he says rather than fighting hmm maybe pointing towards him and saskue conflict maybe just the one thing i didnt like i would say would probably have to be naruto still blindly in love with sakura other than that great episode

It seemed like it could fit in the Narutoverse well enough and that's the kind I like most. The kind that feels like it can be a part of the series it's in.

Gai apparently needs to be tied down with some aircraft cable if he can't stay put overnight; the last time I was that displaced in my bed was when I was a tween. Not to continue the trivial matter, but that's assuming that Naruto even knows what he's actually feeling; a great many people whose social situations were far better rounded than his have admitted that they have at some point questioned whether or not they were in love, so I find it difficult to believe that a person who almost never experienced love at all could so assuredly tell the difference between platonic love and romantic love. I don't think Naruto's ever mentioned his feelings in detail before now, but everything he described is as attributable to simple platonic love as it is to romantic love; he doesn't have to be in love with Sakura to feel those things, but he may think he is because he doesn't know the difference.

I always welcome every chance we get to see him again. The female ninja he fought must be something if they fought to a draw. One complaint I do have is how the animators constantly make Gamaken comment about how ungraceful he is. I consider it overkill. This was especially the case during Jiraiya's fight with Pain. Shizuka was quite strong for a filler character. It figures she would be swayed by Naruto's words. She certainly isn't the first person and I doubt she'll be the last. Naruto bringing up his love for Sakura was something I wasn't too big of a fan of. I give him credit for still being in "love" with her considering the stunt she pulled off when they were in the Iron Country. This stunt being her lie about loving him. The villain in this episode seemed like he should have been a member of Team Rocket. I say this because his puppets reminded me of contraptions that they would use. Plus he was sent blasting off on two separate occasions. I wasn't impressed with his character design. Episode gets an 8. Edited by Mangekyou Sharingan, Nov 5 2011, 03:23 PM.

[not saying it was right per se] Still, I think some [not just here] might be lost in the correlation of physical lustful attraction and actual feelings that run deeper. ^__^' To sum my feelings up, the episode gets an 8 from me. The villain was a douche and was taken care of in a rather ridiculous manner. But I was happy with the connection Jiraiya had with this filler story. It's always nice seeing him again. Shizuka was a pretty good filler kunoichi. It's a shame this will be her only appearance as is standard for this sort of thing.

Jiraiya has an almost undeniable chance with a good looking female and totally turns it down? A female who actually understands his words too? Dang, oh well--was hoping for him to find something along the way with someone... ...but never the less, it was a treat to see him again laughing and being his normal whacky self. 9/10 for me. Well, not TOO normal--he actually had a somewhat intelligent conversation with the kunoichi at the end.
