TenTen's dreams of becoming a great ninja are explored, and we finally see TenTen as a kid. Nice.

It's been a long time since I got to see that smug look on Neji's face. I never thought Tenten could be so interesting. That was a good filler.

I like how her struggles were paralleled with Rock Lee, and we got to see her advance to being such a good kunoichi. The fight scene with Guy was nothing more than awesome. It looked really good.

I hope Sai's episode next week would be just as interesting.

it was pretty good for whom the episode was about but that whole real time stuff i like the flashback rather than lee like almost dying but the after part where she put the iron doll on top of lee was pretty funny

Not a bad episode. There's something about the overall setup that doesn't sit right with me—the production or direction or something—but I can't put my finger on it. Anyway, it wasn't enough to bother me. Could tell right off that Tenten had a perspective problem, though, with her claim that she actually wanted to BE Tsunade. That kind of thing is a good starting point, but like Gai said, one has to do what one is suited for. Still a good show of her growth, regardless; the fandom generally seemed to assume that her family always specialized in weapons and/or owned a weapon shop, but from this episode that may not necessarily be the case.

I think the talk of slugs made Neji a little queasy.

So Tenten finally gets an episode? Sweet.

I always thought the fillers should focus more on minor character and develop them.

This is the greatest episode made for Naruto to date. Loved the childhood flashback of Tenten the legendary. 100000000000/10.

Tenten got more character development in one episode than Sakura has in the entire series.

No offense, but I call character bias/exaggeration on that.

The one in question has had quite the sizable amount of development from start to current.

On-topic, this was a very good episode. Nice to see some background for Tenten. :)

very good episode, I agree the fillers have been better lately. Although I am not a tenten fanboy like some of you, it was good to see some development from her. looks like we still have another month of fillers at least, if their as good as this one I won't mind as much. 10/10

I would have never guessed that TenTen's struggles would parallel with Lee's like that. I really enjoyed watching TenTen find her specialization in weapons. While her admiration for Tsunade and wanting to be like her are completely understandable it just shows that sometimes you have to find what you're good at instead of trying to be a carbon copy of someone.

This was an excellent episode. The formula of focusing on the side characters rather than Naruto's voyage to the Lightning Country seems to be working out quite well. Getting to see a young TenTen was nice. I don't remember her character getting this kind of back story before. Her spar session with Gai was entertaining to watch. I liked how she trapped him with her weapon summoning.

Episode gets a 10.

Especially compared to other kunoichi such as Tenten. Up to this point, it's arguable that Tenten was the female character with the least amount of background—until now, we knew more about Kushina than we did about Tenten, which is pretty bad considering how long Tenten has been around compared to Kushina. At least Sakura did something during the chuunin exams and showed a little maturity and growth; the implication ended up being that Tenten was lucky enough to just tag along with Lee and Neji, and that's why she got wiped out in the third-round prelims.

Not just focusing on the supporting cast rather than Naruto, but not mentioning Naruto at all. I love him, but I didn't miss him. His inclusion in Shino's episode was annoying rather than amusing, and now that you've mentioned it I can clearly recall not wondering what Naruto was doing that would maybe-kind-of-sort-of remind him of that chick who likes sharp stuff, but what was her name again?

yeah i think it would of been really pointless for them to waste the time to try to figure out a way to squeeze naruto into this episode and did anyone mind not having naruto on a ship no

only way i would care which someone mentioned before is if they found the straw hat pirates or were making a music video about being on a boat

Periott should be putting there time into stuff like this, not a pointless filler. I enjoyed watching the story of tenten. Hopefully, they will continue showing the pasts of the different shinobi.

I give it a 10
