Another character focused tale. Mostly just a recap though. |

Rather enjoyed this episode, watching Sai's personality evolve within the storyline, and aspiring to become part of team 7 with Sasuke shows how much Naruto helped him open up again. Aside from his clothing, I enjoy Sai's character. |

I did like this episode. It was essentially just a recap, which made it a touch tedious, but I do think it helped by exploring Sai's side of things; considering how emotionally stunted he is, I believe it was a suitably important topic. I mean, when's the next time we see him doing any kind of self-exploration like this? Spoiler: click to toggle I liked seeing more of the village and how it's coming along. Usually we just see carpenters nailing boards together, but this episode showed that the general cleanup was still in progress and, apparently, was maybe a little behind since favor was being granted more to construction work. Sai should know better than to deface private property, though. |

Very nice how periot is showing relevant fillers. I am not sure why they couldn't figure this out many fillers ago. Like next weeks title, can't wait. datebayo :O_O: |

A bit too flashback heavy to really be a great filler, definitely not as good as the last 2, but still pretty darn good. A nice little piece of character development, showing his evolution of personality.

I agree while flashbacks can be annoying, like how they ended kage summit arc, this was actually a good relevant filler, that built character development for sai. I think this is a good move by studio pierrot going one by one of the konoha 11 preparing for war and getting more development out of them. I thought the ending was great with sai drawing all 4 of them holding hands, good stuff. 9/10 |

I didn't mind the flashbacks since I feel they helped show Sai's progression from when we first met him up until now. Plus it has been a while since we have seen some of these flashbacks. When I say that I speak of the ones from the Grass Country arc when Team 7 went to meet Sasori's spy. While on the topic of flashbacks I liked the one showing Naruto's fight with Sai. That sure was a clever move by Naruto to transform into Yamato, thus allowing him to catch Sai off guard. Overall this was another exceptional filler episode. I hope they keep this up! Sai's character got a good amount of development. I enjoyed seeing more of the reconstruction of the village and just how far the destruction reached. While they are making progress it's apparent a lot of work still needs to be done. The drawing at the end showing Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto and Sai holding hands was kind of nice. It makes you wonder if that dream will become a reality. Episode gets an 8. |

I thought it was an excellent episode and I enjoyed it. I really liked seeing more of the progress of Konoha's reconstruction and I loved the ending with the ink drawings. |
