Not a terrible episode, but all the filler has worn out its welcome by now.

Oh this episode had me laughing so hard. Kiba, although not one of my favorites, is hilarious. Like Naruto, he looses his cool so fast, but to an extreme. His FOF was getting a little old. I'm glad he pulled another jutsu at the end, but he really needs to build up his jutsu inventory.

Always fun to see Kakashi his summons.

And yes, fillers have become dull. We need to get the story back in.

Determination is the word for this episode. ...be a fool!!!

Timely episode imo. Always nice to see Kiba and I liked his little training session.

Heard recently that the Japanese voice actor for him Kousuke Toriumi died. Can't even relocate the source now. Also knew he was the voice actor of Szayel Aporro Grantz (Espada scientist) from bleach and a good few other characters from different places.

Sorry, Kiba. As much as I enjoyed your growth as an important character, Kakashi was the highlight of this episode for me. It's not that I don't like you, but there's only room in my heart for one moron, and in my case Naruto fills that spot quite adequately. You just can't compare.

I also got a kick out of seeing your mother in an apron, because I never thought I would.

Hugs,

all i really enjoyed here were Kakashi's Ninken and the preview for the next episode (though that might just be because i'm not a Kiba fan). i think this is the first time i've ever looked forward to a filler episode, yay Kakashi and Gai childhood flashback! :o

I thought it was interesting to see Kiba and Akamaru train with Kakashi's ninja dog summons. I thought this way because of the Inuzuka Clans relationship with canines. While seeing Kiba's determination and progression was ok I do agree with those that say he needs more in his jutsu arsenal. Seeing the same things over and over again get boring after awhile.

This was a mediocre episode. Tsume looked odd wearing an apron. That's something I thought we would never see. I was surprised it took Naruto that long to beat Kiba's record. He started while still in the academy and didn't beat it until after he graduated. The episode for next week looks very appealing. A Gai and Kakashi flashback should make for some entertaining viewing.

Episode gets a 6.

You really scared me there for a second. As a fan of his work and characters I hope to never hear that anytime soon.

Overall I thought the episode was alright. I'm a little disappointed that Kiba didn't have a greater overall growth in prowess, but having Kakashi's ninken showing more combat tactics was a nice. Everything always seems better knowing that the end of fillers is coming.

Filler is filler. It fills, like cheap gristle in a meat pie. It's nasty, and only the brave will attempt to stomach it. When's the canon return?

It's not that bad. -_-

To answer your question, starting with the first episode of 2012.

It is that bad, if not worse. The very sight gives me a stomach ache.

Yeah, well, there are those [like me] who genuinely enjoy filler and think it adds to/enhances things quite well. [Obviously depending on the episode. This period as a whole didn't do as much for me as in the past, but there were still good ones]

But seeing as this isn't a quality debate thread, I'll stop right there.

@Everyone: As for this episode...Average.

Had some appeal, but I didn't like it as much as the other Konoha character-centered episodes.

It was alright for a filler. I found it quite odd to see Kiba's mother in a apron.

I'll settle by saying that filler is the lesser of one evil.
