Small filler additions. Good episode, though I'm beginning to tire of some of the background music after being used for so long in the series. |

Good episode. I'm beginning to tire of the pace, I'm sure it's just me but I want it to move faster so we can get to other battles. |

More filler?!?! Sakura's memory something something... Looks like they are pulling a Bleach. How are you just going to go from in war to everyone trying to get Sakura's memory back. Smh... |

Ino-Shika-Cho...Stuff of Legends. 10/10. Naruto's training seems to be moving along but he was distracted, hmmmn. |

Nostalgic episode seeing the Ino/Shika/Cho formation again. Kinkaku was awesome tearing up everything in his path. Kakuzu is badass as always taking the hearts out of Shinobi. Good finish with the reveal of Asuma. Great animation by Kouda, he is definitely one of the better ones. The Sakura episode will be interesting, luckily this is only a one episode filler. 10/10 for this one |

Nice bits of filler, good episode. The Sakura episode is probably a movie tie in, Road To Sakura, Road To Ninja etc |

If Ino-Shiko-Cho is in the top two formations, what would the other be? I thought it was a good joke in the beginning when Darui says "that's all I had to..." referring to apologizing, lol for that. |

i've wondered about this since the manga version of this came out, but do Kakuzu's hearts have any purpose now that he's already immortal due to ET? or do they just give him the ability to use all of the chakra natures? and why do they have to kill him five times again instead of just sealing him away like they did with the other ET shinobi? i'm probably overthinking it though. Good episode. i don't like fillers but next weeks episode actually looks interesting enough and focuses on Sakura for once. |

Their purpose was being extra fighters in addition to granting him more lives and giving him all five natures. The Allied Forces don't have to kill Kakuzu himself five times, but get rid of the other hearts running around along with taking him out, since the hearts are attacking separate from him. |

Combined Ninjutsu efforts of the allied shinobi forces? Check. Awesome shogi analogies? Check. InoShikaCho nostalgia? Check. Kakuzu's glorious return? Double check (that scene of him ripping someone's heart out was intensely graphic). The background music choices were a bit lacking and I noticed a few occasional hiccups in both the animation and art, doubtless because of the movie's production, but the visuals were otherwise a treat this week and Kouda still demonstrates his solid performance and expertise as an AD. Superb episode; alongside 262, I consider it the best in the war arc so far. Aesthetic Rating: 4/5 Story Rating: 5/5 Overall Score: 9/10 |

The filler bits where we saw combined Ninjutsu from the Allied Forces was cool. Speaking of which the teamwork displayed by Shikamaru, Chouji and Ino was also impressive. Their efforts together with Darui helped seal away Kinkaku. During said teamwork we saw Chouji physically engage Kinkaku. I'm surprised he didn't suffer any burns due to Kinkaku being surrounded with the Kyuubi's chakra. I thought the same thing earlier on when Chouza caught the attack from one of Kinkaku's tails. This was an excellent episode. Darui's apology to Kinkaku was pretty funny. His double Black Panther attack was a sight to see. In my opinion this was a great episode for Kakuzu fans. Seeing him rip out that random ninjas' heart was awesome. The mentioning of Hidan and the brief shot of him was also very nostalgic. I liked the way the episode ended with the reunion between Asuma and his former students. I bet it leaves anime only viewers wondering what will happen next. Episode gets a 10. |

Seeing the heart rip out was actually rough for me That ninja looked so young and scared. I felt like that with danzo snapped fu's neck. The short shiguri like moments... |
