Decent for filler. Though I'm left wondering if Shino and Kiba's comment about Yamato knowing their secret was a reference to something I'm not remembering or if it's just background flavor. |

Not sure what those secrets are either. As for the episode I agree thought it was decent for filler, trying to decipher which member it was who was a zetsu. I thought it was Hinata since the beginning, Shino and Kiba kept calling out for her, and when they found the sealing corp member all of a sudden she shows up. Good episode, next week looks interesting. 8/10 |

A decent episode, I enjoyed the way Shino comes up with a way to figure who the impostor of the group. The quarrals between Shino and Kiba are always hilarious. Kind of like when Naruto and Kiba are alway calling each other out on who's dumb. Next week looks interesting, although not sure if it will be. |

Definitely a pretty clever episode. I really appreciated how Shino's rock-paper-scissors idea, a seemingly pointless exercise, turned out to be an extremely reliable method of finding out which person on the team was an impostor. To be honest, I suspected Hinata the moment she needed to be reminded of her crush on Naruto; she also refused to intervene or at least object to the ensuing fight between Kiba and Shino, which is precisely what Shino predicted the Zetsu clone would do earlier. But it's not just thoughtful detective skills that made this episode work - Team 8 actually DO something in the war. If not for this filler, that frankly never would've happened. Not overly impressive art/animation-wise, but it was okay. I'm just glad this week embodied the kind of intellectual maneuvering that this series is supposed to capture, and very competently at that. This was good filler story. I really enjoyed the strategy employed to flush out white Zetsu. If there is any arc in the entire Naruto anime series that would benefit from fillers it would be this ninja war arc. I hope they sprinkle more of this every now and then, and if they do it right, they won't even need to have the season long fillers that we annually get. |

Team 8 seems to often get nice filler stories especially as long as they don't get dragged out. I'm glad that this time was no different although it made me wish more things like this did get more attention in the manga. The solution to the mystery was clever and I liked how this confusion plays into future events. The only thing that could have made this better was more original use of their abilities but I guess that only really comes from Suzuki and Tanaka are at the controls. |

I totally agree about this filler being a decent one. It was nice to to add on to the whole "who's who?". My sister and I guessed Hinata from the start and especially after she couldn't reveal that the thing she liked most was Naruto having Kiba do it for her by accident. I hope we can get back to Naruto and Killer B next week. I miss them! :FP: |

Like the previous episode this one implemented a good amount of mystery. Although with that said it did seem apparent that Hinata was the fake. She acted a bit out of character by not trying to break apart Kiba and Shino's squabbles. The scene where she had to be reminded of her fondness for Naruto was another hint. The whole Rock-Paper-Scissors part was silly but proved to be a smart strategy on Shino's part. If there are going to be filler episodes I hope they all are like this one in that it focuses on the lesser characters' role in the war. Team 8 engaging the White Zetsu in the mine and then being trapped there after the explosion made me think of the movie The Decent. Episode gets an 8. |

Decent? This episode pretty much made up for the terrible plot of the last episode and that episode was canon. |
