Really enjoyed this chapter, I think it helps that Obito is being portrayed as how he was when we last saw him at that age. There wasn't a 180 evil switch flipped when he was left behind. He's still the joking guy desperate to see his friends again. |

The dialogue between Madara and Obito was pretty entertaining, I must admit. This also finally confirms that Nagato's Rinnegan was literally given to him, something I've been saying for a while. |

True but it's just one eye missing from madara why is both of nagatos eyes active on a upside looking at madara here he doesnt seem to be that bad of a guy I don't see how obito came to be do evil now hopefully more will be explained

CREEPY Madara is CREEPY. Seriously, Madara must really have a more complicated backstory than the one Tobi presented way back when. Why are all these ninjas afraid of death? To stay in this bunker, hooked up to life support 24/7 seems strangely un-ninja like. Just tell me why Madara, why was it worth it to stay alive for so long. I mean, you gave the typical "I want peace" speech, but I hope that is not all there is to it. When people say that, I imagine they want peace for someone other than themselves. Also, multiple translations have Obito asking if he should take care of Madara's "lower region", wtf? |

Madaras one eye is an implant. Its not his original. There was previous debate over obito's normal sharingan powers and it seems that he can phase his body in/out without using MS. Madara said he dont know how he survived, it was almost as if you were able to slip away from it. and it obvious that obito only has two tomoe is one eye so he did miraculously gain MS and not get his 3rd tomoe. Very good chapter, really, it really shows Obito really struggling to see Kakashi and Rin, even all the things Madara said to him didn't make any change in his personality, so, he turned evil more lately or he started being manipulated by Madara at some point. So, Madara awakened the Rinnegan and implanted his eyes on Nagato, this chapter confirms it. And, seeing Madara connected with that Gedo Statue was really creepy. 9/10 Good flashbacks, good dialogues and good character exposition. |

It was nice overall. Figured the whole chapter would be Obito being Obito and Madara trying to open Obito's eyes about reality, breaking him in a way and another. Looks like Madara won't let him go, being that Obito is an Uchiha and has a working Sharingan. I can sense that he would even forcefully take his if he doesn't...cooperate (for lack of a better word in my mind right now). He doesn't know what had happened after the boulders came down on him, so why would he instantly flip his character straight away? He wouldn't! Not until he, himself, actually get out of the cave and see for himself of what Madara was speaking of and, of course, experience a tragic event that will be his last straw. Anyway, I give this chapter a 8/10. |

I say, he gets fixed up some more by Madara and then goes and witness Rin's death and Kakashi failing to protect her. That would explained why he said his reason(It being Kakashi letting Rin die) wasn't the real reason for the war and stuff. It was the reason why he sided with Madara. |

Omg! This chapter would have to be weird for me. Seeing Madara all old like and just barely clinging to life makes me a little sad and sorry for him. I really want to know exactly how and when Nagato was given the Rinnegan. It seems just a bit far fetched. If I remember correctly, Nagato had awakened his Rinnegan for the first time when he, Yahiko, and Konan were attacked by a ninja way back then in the Hidden Rain. Was he captured as a baby and then brought back to his parents? He had parents after all. IDK. Anyway, it's nice to see Obito alive and not evil. The whole time I was thinking that he probably wanted the world's end, but now I see that he probably was blackmailed and pressured. Nice chapter overall [explains a lot, but we still have more to learn I bet] totally agree with you Edited by Lunacy Divine, Sep 19 2012, 08:26 PM.

Well it's just puzzles me is here we have obito acting like naruto calling madara gramps and almost just joking around with him and madara not coming off as complete evil.madara could of left obito to die or just take his other eye but choose to save obito life even after it's said madra hated the clan so why now are they complete beast in battle and heartless |

But it seems a bit contradictory for Madara to say that he wants only peace and love... Just look at him in the war, he's a sadist by nature, he summoned two meteorites to wipe out a lot of Shinobis and commented that it was a long time since he had a nice view as that, he splitted Tsunade in half and left all the other Kage covered in blood and almost dead just for fun. Maybe Madara said all that to just convince Obito to thrust him? Who knows. |

I enjoyed this chapter. It gave me that dark knight feeling when Harvey dent was in the hospital alone with the Joker. That whole "either you die a hero or you live long enough to become the villain." So I'm guessing Rachel er I mean Rin dies and Obito becomes the villain. Lastly it was cool seen the zestu prototypes and you look closely one of them have the face of one of Tobi's mask. |

This chapter was great, we are able to see Madara as he was after the battle with Hashirama, we find out that his eyes are not his. A while ago I theorized that Obito might have activated his sharingan as the boulder fell on him and probably phased his body. Well from what Madara said, it seems that's probably how he survived. Although it seems a bit creepy that Madara is attached to the Mazou, it seems normal to me. How else could he have survived his battle after being injured by Hashirama. Plus it would seem the cells of Hashirama are actually keeping him alive and the same for Obito. I'm glad to see that Obito is more concerned about his comrades rather than being persuaded by Madara. This will probably show us how his love for Rin turned him to join Madara when she dies. Sadly the chapter ended too fast for me, but the story is finally getting back on track and not taking some weird turns. |

Sigh... :FP: nothing new was revealed that I didn't already know. Good chapter, though. One point for discussion, though, is that I still believe Madara was the one who attacked the leaf and fought the 4th. Everyone has kept sayings it was Obito, but I don't see how that lines up at all. I predict that Madara either took Obito's eye, or Obito gave it to him in a year's time. Definitely this chapter went off the creep -o- meter. Madara is just plain twisted after staying hooked up to life support for those many years. Glad to know the confirmation of nagato's eyes. Obito probably sided with madara after hearing about Rin's death. go madara, ya sick bastard. :D |

Am I the only one who didn't find the whole scenario believeable. So first obito happens to "die" where madara's hideout is, then rather conveniently he happens to be an uchiha which is what madara supposedly needed. In addition to this obito managed to slip through the rocks hinting at his use of kamui moments after he had activated his eyes. It all just seems rather convenient to me. Madara survives all that time to carry out some ultimate plan only for him to rely on the chance of some uchiha dying at his doorstep with an amzing eye techinique to pull it off? I wasn't that impressed with the way things happened in this chapter. I hope the coming chapters are better in terms of what is revealed and how it is portrayed. |

I absolutely agree. This was really poorly planned and almost nonsensical. Madara just happened to have a hibeout below where Obito died, some may say fate, I say freaking retarded. |
