Thankfully the Sasuke appearance was explained away, as it didn't make much sense otherwise. Good episode, though I don't think they explained why Deidara was staying in place after being captured again, since there was no Raiton to neutralize him. Though maybe being bound is enough? I don't know.

Looking foward to next week, as it may mean we get to see Ino's or Shino's mom finally. Maybe Kiba's dad(?)

Animation was a tad inconsistent. Some scenes employed top notch visuals, others... not so much. I found the former to be highly reminiscent of Deidara's battle with Sasuke in Episode 123, but other parts of the episode appeared as if they were rendered in a different, less efficient style (probably due to the multiple animators that worked on the episode). It's not exactly the most fantastic animation altogether, but it's certainly above average. And dat cowboy theme!

Pretty nice seeing Mifune's skills again, and I thought it was quite clever of Kurotsuchi to take advantage of Deidara's anxiety and obsession with getting revenge on Sasuke with a simple Henge technique. I definitely wasn't expecting him to form a new outlook on art after his second defeat by the alliance, so I'm pleasantly surprised Pierrot would take this sort of artistic liberty (no pun intended) in regards to the canon established by the manga and actually bestow his character with some sense of closure. Chuukichi doing more than just sensory tactics was a pretty sweet addition, too.

I'd put it on par with the Road to Sakura episode - not the most groundbreaking showing ever, but fun to watch overall.

Aesthetic Rating: 4/5
Story Rating: 4/5
Overall Score: 8/10

Good episode overall, glad to see Deidara do a little more. Great animation in this episode, we should get more soon down the line. Not much else to say, although I figured that wasn't the real Sasuke. 9/10

Even though Deidara is my least favorite villain, I got to admit that I enjoyed him in this filler. But, I didn't enjoy how this filler just based off of Deidara escaping only to be easily captured again. Not only did it make Deidara look like a failure, but it made Kurotsuchi look like an annoying bitch. It's somewhat waste of an episode. Yet all-in-all, im starting to enjoy these fillers so i'll give it a 7/10.

I liked the episode a lot. it was fun watching it and it fixed a lot of the problems i thought the manga had. Too bad they couldn't do one about Kakuzu.

The first filler in my memory I felt was worth my time. Sehr gut.

It was an all around decent filler that I always thought would have happened in the manga. Seeing Deidara running around felt a little strange since he seemed to prefer flying to even walking in the past. It was nice to see Chuukichi and Mifune's bodyguard actually do something although it was limited.

Almost forgot, this was a milestone episode as it was the 500th episode of the series!! Congrats to Kishimoto on a successful series that has made it this far. Not many animes get to 500 episodes. Wish we could just go back to canon next week, oh well.

If I remember correctly I wasn't exactly too thrilled with how quickly Deidara's role in the war ended so seeing this filler with him temporarily escaping was a nice treat. In my opinion it gave better closure. I'll admit that it was odd seeing Deidara do so much running. I'm so used to seeing him flying on one of his clay birds. Kurotsuchi using the transformation jutsu to turn into Sasuke was a smart move. She took advantage over Deidara's obsession with trying to get Sasuke to acknowledge him and his art.

In this end this was a splendid episode. I could have gone without seeing the scenes from the Allied Forces headquarters especially since we just saw them a couple of episodes ago. It was good to see Chukichi again because it was like he disappeared after the opening battles. It's a shame that his time in the spotlight was only for a moment. I thought the exchange between Mifune's bodyguard and the White Zetsu was kind of funny. I liked seeing him actually do something. Speaking of Mifune this was yet another episode where he shined. I find myself liking his character more and more.

Just like the last few episodes this one also gets an 8.
