I can't help but think we might have needed more on Obito's backstory. At least when it comes to his attack on Konoha. I guess we've been given the reason, still seems like there should be SOMETHING there to explain why his views don't come off as exactly neutral. I'm also guessing we're supposed to assume Nagato returned to align with Tobi once Yahiko was killed. I actually like that that bit wasn't spelled out all the way. |

Wow, it all goes back to Kakashi. Minato's death, Obito's betrayal..etc. Very nice chapter, the flashbacks didn't last long, were only there to show you that Obito was always there. Loved the Wood Dragon, but i don't understand how that stopped the Kyuubi in the past. Regardless, I give this chapter 8/10 |

Its all kakashi's fault. The wood dragon looks like a giant woodem troll. Can't wait to see this final fight between kakashi and obito I think some people will get their wish of the story going back to sasuke and oro. I'm pissed that we have to wait two weeks |

Yeah, I agree that we should have had another chapter or 2 to explain more of Obito's motivations, plus we still need to know why Kakashi killed Rin. 7/10. |

i really like seeing Tobi without the mask now, he looks so much more serious as a character. I'm glad the flash back story is finally wrapping up now, I'm sure we'll see more as Obito dies, and or once Sasuke returns to Konoha. I wonder if we'll see Obito use his rinnegan to revive Rin to really mess with Kakashi? or maybe he hasn't gone that far off. P.S Akatstewie brings up another point, reasoning for Kakashi killing Rin is a HUGE hole to fill and Kishi better intend on filling it. Edited by etna-chan, Oct 23 2012, 11:30 PM.

I'm okay with this chapter. Everything else could've have created " we knew that all along" so maybe Kishi wants to start the battle. I do agree that Obito's reasoning could be simply " I don't care because they'll be back in my dream world" Wood dragon is awesome. I'm glad we are getting an insight on how Madara and the 1st hokage went. |

From the looks of it, all of this has been in Obito's head, so Kakashi hasn't heard anything about Obito's motivation. The reason he killed Rin is likely something only he is aware of, so I'm sure we'll hear it from his mouth or see it from his point of view soon enough. I did like the wood dragon, it was a really nice touch. I've always had a bit of trouble believing that Hashirama could have actually taken on Madara and the Nine Tails simultaneously, so having a sentient familiar to keep the fox busy makes me find their fight a bit more plausible. I'm starting to think Madara wish he was a Senju and not a Uchiha geez. Obito 14 pages of useless flash back killed this chapter for me, now we have to wait 2 weeks for some real action. SMH. Lol, what a way Bee became useless these last couple chapters. |

this i don't understand, why have it only Obito's thoughts? that's really annoying since that means we might not find out about why Kakashi killed Rin anyways, so Rin's last name is Nohara? what does it mean? (sounds like a fanon name) why did it take so long to find this out when it isn't something important to keep secret. and Gai is helping fight Madara, leaving Kakashi to fight Obito on his own huh? (kinda out of character for Gai isn't it?) Gai actually looks really bad there too. but yay to finally getting back to the fight. since there's still some missing info that'll need more flashbacks, i'm hoping that won't affect the outcome of this fight (like letting Obito win so we can get more flashbacks later). @Movado: Strange definition of useless you have....but considering it's currently one of the most butchered and misused words on the internet that is tossed around far too much (like some other words that are rather sensitive) in places where the actual meaning is lost by....Indeed. I hope we see that. That's a pretty big question to leave without an answer. The flashbacks were the chapter highlight and provided at least some new info of value. It really should have went on more. Action is secondary to this kind of thing for me, and I do not care how many are rushing Kishimoto at breakneck speeds to get 20 plot (or I should say battle) points ahead of his current place. [talking more about general internet fandom than any specific individual] It was simply too abrupt an end. And there are more questions than answers (no matter who pretends we know the whole story). I hate when there are more questions than answers. Okay. Venting over. I didn't really care for the events of the battle fast forwarding itself a great deal from where we left it either. Full thoughts later, but I think I have a love/hate feeling for the chapter with my preference falling in the beginning parts. |

I like how Kishi summarized all of Obito's intentions by dedicating whole page in a simple statement. As for Madara and Hashirama's Wood Dragon, I like it, as said by Salamanca, it gives us a small part of the overview of between Mardara and Hashirama's fight. I wonder if Naruto and Kyuubi will push Madara to the fullest. Maybe since Kyuubi was controlled by Madara, Kyuubi might have never gave 100%, in terms of his strength during the fight and this time it could be different, plus Naruto have some-kind of zing after knowing the names of all tailed beasts must account for something, right? A catch I did not realize the first time around. Obito (in another direct parallel with Naruto) was shown overlooking the village atop the electric pole just as Naruto did when Naruto returned from his training with Jiraiya. |

Rin's death will be covered when either Obito or Kakashi dies, one of those last minute "I need to let this weight off my chest" sorta events I betcha... I doubt both are alive after this confrontation. |

Kakashi about to fight Obito. You know what would be interesting? If Obito kills Kakashi and they capture the 8-tails, while Naruto's strength is weakening. And then Madara and Obito are all "Join the dark side. We can bring him back." I dunno. Just a thought. Nice chapter. Sucks we gotta wait two weeks. To be honest, I'm more interested in what Sasuke is doing, because it'll more than likely lead back to the battlefield. I believe Sasuke will find a reason to help Naruto, and they'll overcome Madara. A Senju and an Uchiha working together. Seems like a fitting theme. |

Oh yeh good spot T_J Personally I liked this chapter, I'm glad that it showed that Yahiko and the gang didn't accept Obito in their gang straight away also liked how they called Obitos bluff that he is Madara!! So it seems that after Yahikod death they formed the Akatsuki! Also I'm surprised we didn't get an explanation to Rins death! Madara/Kishi just pulls another out of this world jutsu that just seems to be unbeatable but the Wood Dragon does looks pretty aww-some!!!! 1 thing I didn't like was that it seems all of this was looks like as It's all Kakashi's fault and the death of Minato... Hmmm not impressed by that! Ooh ooh second thing I really don't like 2 week break ...whyyyy!!! So next chapter better be Suppa Duppa Awesome with maybe the other Bijuus making an aperance.... No doubt. Anyhow, i can't see Kakashi and Obito fight getting dragged out. Last time i checked Kakashi used MS about 4-5 time plus he was fighting off them Bijuu's. So he either he out of chakra (currently bluffing), have 1 last shot left, or Sasuke jumps in hehehehehe. i like option 3. Anyone else find it's unfair Kakashi can't teleport like Obito? If a dang bird can use Sushi eye to it's full power then so should Kakashi. |

Also it seems like Gai is nearly done for... But if Kishi is about to kill him off I'd rather him die by opening the 8th gate and go out with a bang than rather Madara killing him with a wooden stick!!! But i'd rather Sakura show up and give him a little boost coz I like Gai...! Also everyone seems to have forgotten about this army... Where are they!!!!
