First half is great, second, not so much. I understand why they did the flashback, but it just about killed the pace. |

The Hidan resurrection was a little wierd. It would not be easier to "dig him up?" but i can see it from the point that Kabuto knew he woulnt be able to control him if he stitched him together so he got some DNA and since Hidan still is alive he cant use Edo Tensei so he did a DNA based Edo Clone of him instead. still, i would have liket the real guy to come back and be finished properly this time. I found the thing with Hidan running around naked trying to kill folks being hilarious and at the same time "how was the writer thinking" Animation and artwork was almost movie quality. but what have they done to Kabuto? he looks really weird. |

Happy Thanksgiving!! This was an awesome episode, but agree with Shikamaru would have been a little better if they put the flashback first so we know what happened, but can't complain to much animation and action were top notch. Just wish the war got some of this attention. 10/10 |

i dont mind this filler so far at all since it gives Kabuto more screentime and gives some focus of the grave robbing, always found it weird that no one noticed or said anything in the manga. I also like that this is some kind of trial and error of the edo tensei, if you think about it it must have taken a lot of effort to master it so much as in the war. i hope the edos get their personalities back in the arc, i dont want to see Hidan, Deidara and Hayate mindless. |

It's impressive how much good animation can give to a poor filler, but I'd rather have them enhance the cannon experience with it. If Devil was a Naruto fan, they would surely burn in hell for that. And I, personally, still hope they will. |

I honestly thought we'd get some filler garbage, but this was pretty cool, esp the first half. It was good seeing a part of the progress of Kabuto's quest for perfect edo tensei. Good animation too! |

i think they did. i think the episode of pain vs hinata had the same animation director as this episode |

In my opinion the second half and first half of the episode should have been switched around. Personally I think that would have made for a better lead in and as fans we'd have a better understanding of what was going on. Also, we would have been left with the cliffhanger ending of Naruto being in trouble while battling against Kabuto. Speaking of which seeing Kabuto still in the beginning stages of adjusting to his new powers and his trial and error with Edo Tensei was a definite treat. We're off to a pretty good start for these filler episodes. The animation in this episode was beautifully done. The only thing that seemed off to me was Kabuto's hair style. It was nice to see Yamato again. In the current story he's been out of out of commission for so long due to being captured by Tobi. Hidan's reappearance was yet another positive for me. I really hope he is given his personality back because that's one reason why he's one of my favorite Akatsuki members. Episode gets an 8. |
