Talky chapter, expected the flashback to happen earlier in the chapter. Good that they're clearly establishing that Sasuke is actually going to use the information to determine his next step, versus the "Must crush Leaf!" one note stupidness that's been his MO for awhile now. |

Valley of the End, looks as epic I imagined. Glad Kishi has finally been able to show these power houses at work. And he has explained why the Hokage fight during the exams seemed not as epic. They were not brought back at full power. |

I'm happy Sasuke remove EMS, he was embarrassing himself showing that to the Hokage(s). I wonder whats Minato stand, he was just impressed with 2nd out burst, i wonder if he already broke free of Orochimaru control. |

The 2nd felt emasculated I'm sure...edo is the worst man... But really what presence though...under edo yet still drawing chakra like that causing Oro to raise his hand. But the maturity of the 1st shines through yet again, so again I notice a great pair of brothers. Yeah, itachi just may have been the better shinobi as the 1st put it. That said I didn't know kyubi was under madaras control prior to the invasion of obito 16 years ago...I wonder who were the hosts prior to the uzumaki before Kushina? I can imagine how kyubi felt getting summoned and controlled so often to fight.... Lastly...the firsts summon to be able to go toe to toe with Susano and kyubi was amazing....the last panel was a great look. Take care. |

Gud chapter......10/10 Im glad the kages found out about the war and it seems that they might join in (at least we'll see the 1st) but I really hope we get to see them all in battle. Especially the 2nd bcuz he's kinda the only hokage the hasnt been shown in a full battle. His skill set is still kinda unclear.(Jst wishful thinking) And 4 anybody that thought that the title "God of Shinobi" was just words.....The man shook'd the room jst by charging up his chakra (can anybody say "Super Saiyan") :O_O: No doubt the 1st is stronger than Madara now the fact that the 1st broke Edo Tensei with pure force w/o using any hand signs. Not to mention that Orochimaru's Edo Tensei is stronger bcuz he has the 1st cells w/o it I pretty sure ths 2nd could have broke free to. Finally get to see Hashirama vs Madara full battle (not jst 1 or 2 pages/panels) I forgot how much flashback Kishi show when Tobi explain it but im pretty sure it wasnt the full battle. I still have a few question and what if's. 1. If all the hokage join the war who would they fight? I mean Madara vs Hashirama of course, And maybe the 4th vs Tobi so that leaves the 2nd and the 3rd and the entire ninja alliance vs the Juubi kinda unfair to the juubi lol 2. If the 2nd somehow does joins the war will he use Edo Tensei? And who whould he revive? Mito Uzumaki to seal the Juubi or Kushina to talk to naruto for some reason. And it kinda makes sense if he/2nd did enter thd war and use Edo Tensei since the whole war is based on his justu. |

the four hokages have been bought back to help fight the juubi, at least one of them will go to the field. that or the fact that the juubi is incomplete will make it self destruct. no way kishi trolls his way through with just naruto's power. im interested in Madara's mastery of susano'o. specifically the conjugate samurai form. i love how only the first and madara can break the edo tensei control. kishi kinda put himself in a bind here, if sasuke doesnt turn back good then hashi or tobirama will ROTF stom him xD. and y was sasuke's sharingan regular MS? |

Changing my opinion of Hashirama. He's not like Naruto, he can be serious when the time calls for it. Orochimaru shutting down Tobirama after he acts all tough was great. And Hashirama shows that even now, he's stronger then Madara, being able to overcome Edo Tensei without being released. His response to Sasuke's comment was a pretty diplomatic, not declaring the way that Sasuke should feel. Shame that the VotE fight was so late in the chapter and began halfway through. Still, excellent chapter. |

its a good chapter~ I don't like the Second but I love the First~ ^^ Sasuke looks like he might come to the good side now......................................... but after the First tells Sasu everything I wonder if they are gonna fight in the war, will Orochimaru let them, will Orochimaru still side with Sasu if he turns good?? ugh I have so many questions~ I just hope Orochimaru doesn't make Minato fight Naruto..... |

Dude, Naruto is the same way, he gets serious when time for him to be serious. It's late because Kishi wanted to show the outcome of the fight, show why 1st said Itachi was great brother to Sasuke and a better shinobi than him. I'm assuming he did the same as the 3rd (let Orochimaru live) and let Madara live after he was defeated during battle. When did he leave the good side? Unless im thinking too much, after 2nd realized that Orochimaru was using 1st cells and 1st told him he can do as he wish, did that imply 2nd broke free of Edo??? Going to be interesting when Sasuke realize his clan/ an father wanted to destroy the village while Naruto father gave his life so he can live a safe life. Interesting. |

I can't beleive the second was defeated by the Gold and Silver brothers. Smart of Oro using the Zetsu as a vessle after all. Sasuke's gonna switch sides. Can't wait for the rest of the back story. Overall, just need more action (me likey zee accion). |

He wasn't. He was killed by a squad of elite Kumo shinobi. The Gold and Silver Brothers only left him on the brink of death in a separate incident. |

Naruto spent most of his fight with Obito mocking and making declarations. He's rarely serious when he should be. Showing some build up to show us Madara turning wrong, and giving us another perspective to Obito's story, would have been reasonable. And Hashirama allowing Madara to live makes no sense, considering the danger he posed and everyone saying he was supposedly killed. That would imply that Hashirama hid Madara's existences from everyone and that would him just as responsible for everything Madara has done. Sarutobi didn't "let" Orochiamru live, he couldn't bring himself to kill him. That didn't prevent him from declaring Orochimaru a criminal and having him be searched for to actually be dealt with. |

Another great chapter and it was awesome to see Hashirama act like a boss. I haven't been this hooked on the series for a long time since the Juubi fight was dragging. 10/10 |

The Second for sure would've been able to break the Edo if Orochimaru hadn't used Zetsu but since their HIS cells it's no wonder The First was able to. It's just funny that at any time he could free the whole room of Hokages and march on the battlefield if he wanted, yet he knows that convincing Sasuke to align with them willingly is a much better move. He's not an idiot, he's just fun loving and caring. |

I thought the same thing, and Tobirama is Vegeta. The resemblances are almost uncanny, even down to their relationship like Tobirama always being condescending towards Hashirama. It shouldn't be surprising since Kishimoto is such a huge Dragon Ball fan, but I'm a little surprised nonetheless. @9dragonsgu I don't think Hashirama could break the others out of the ET, there's nothing that indicates he could. I assumed that if Hashirama did decide to disobey Orochimaru that he would just triple team the 1st using the other 3 Hokages. Also, I wonder how many chapters of flashback we're going to get from here on out. As exciting as it's getting I think I'm going to wait for the chapters to build up before reading this flashback. First off excellent chapter and a lot of answers. We found out why the 3rd was able to beat the 1st and 2nd hokages due to them being revived at minimal strength and we also finally get to see the fight between the 1st and Madara. I think Sakuke can simply pic and choose when to use EMS. Similar to him going back to the three tomoe. Question what do u think Sasuke's decision will be? Also besides the 1st what other hokages will join the fight? |

i'm starting to change my opinion of Hashirama now, even though i was one of the critics of his personality. His relationship with Tobirama definitely reminds of Dragon Ball now that i think about it. |

I'm loving the Senju brothers (and the reaction of the Sandaime as they scold each other - and Minato's reaction of awe at their power, he's got great timing to be impressed!) I do hope they get to fight for their shinobi beliefs at later moment... so that Minato gets to see how well Naruto is doing! (cries) Ok. All jokes aside, I'm impressed with how Sasuke is no longer the brat all up to revenge. I'm glad he wants to "think" first and "do later". But still, I have to see his decision and the history of the Clans. Should be interesting. |

Another great chapter! I love how even though Hashirama can be a jokester he knows how to silence Tobirama who is much more by the books. They finally know Madara is back and it's also good to know they will probably go to the battlefield once this is done. I also like how Sasuke is being more rational and listening to the answers rather than being all about destroying the leaf. A lot riding on Hashirama's answer right now. And of course the fight between Madara and Hashirama, we saw a little of this in NUNS Generations which was considered canon since it was approved by Kishi. I look forward to the history and hopefully Sasuke likes the answer. 10/10 |

I wasn't gonna mention this, but since MS was brought up, I've gotta be honest: I'm losing respect for their translations. Rather, the changes they make to the actual script. Has anyone noticed this? In the spoiler below are some excerpts from this chapter, with the MS in bold: Spoiler: click to toggle I realize fan translations often vary, but these differences seem way too off... ------- Anywho, I have a feeling that the Hokage will not intervene in the war. Whether or not the decision is theirs, however, is another thing entirely. Kind of surprised that the Third Hokage hasn't had more to say; I figured Naruto's Nine Tails chakra (as noted by the 4th), why Tsunade became Hokage over Jiraiya (didn't he request the latter get the position if he died, or was that the elders) or even how Sasuke ended up following Orochimaru might be topics he found interesting. Oh well. |
